While there may be plenty of Pop/Folk crossovers created in the past, I’ve never been as beguiled by the genre infusion as when I checked out NORDS latest single Reflections. The two Danish vocalists and guitarists created a peaceful, delicate soundscape with Reflections which could only be described as ethereal. With the full and wholesome instrumental arrangement behind Reflections, including the soaring wails of the electric guitar it’s easy to see that they won’t be up and coming artists for long.
There’s a sense of urgency behind the sound which becomes palpable through the resonant passion they pour into every note and vocal offering in Reflections. In parts, I couldn’t help but feel that the single sounded as though it almost belonged on a Disney soundtrack, yet, there’s a massive indicator that Reflections and the radio-ready quality of the single has plenty of commercial potential.
