They manage to blend a slick urban vibe with a slow rolling R&B groove and the heavy kick of hip-hop backbeat. And whilst it is easy to level accusations of self-aggrandisement at many artists working in similar fields today, Long Time manages to mix up heady and soulful sounds with street level sassy and a whole slice of humour, when was the last time music managed to encompass all of that in one take? This is actually right on target and also perfect for both the commercial market and the more discerning, underground listener.
