Matt Vine – Modernité: Experimentally Arresting Trap

If Trap took acid, the end result would probably sound something a little like Matt Vine’s latest single Modernité. The experimentally alluring Trap single which unfolds with a little Parisian flair is potentially the most arresting track I’ve heard from the genre this year.

Whilst it may take a little while to get comfortable in the soundscape once you’re in the midst of the sharp kicks of the 808’s amongst the orchestral samples and smorgasbord of other effects it doesn’t take long before you start to appreciate his pioneeringly creative approach to the genre.

Whilst it may be a little too out there for some, those that can truly appreciate the ingenuity behind Matt Vine’s sound with Modernité are sure to find their new favourite pioneer of contemporary Trap.
