Keith Blair – Hurricane: The Warmest Offering of Americana Folk You’ll Hear This Summer

If there was ever a track to make you want to sit on a porch in Louisiana drinking iced tea whilst getting lost in your own painful introspection, I’d say that would have to be Keith Blair’s debut single Hurricane.

The Americana Acoustic Folk singer songwriter has a warmth to his vocal tonality which very few people can achieve which is further amplified by his jangly, moreish chord progressions on acoustic guitar. Hurricane certainly doesn’t hold back when it comes to the lyricism, the amount of soul and passion which went into the lyricism is tangible from the first verse. Whilst songs dying alone aren’t archetypally sweet and uplifting Keith somehow managed it whilst making the track reflectively romantic. As the track progresses, you get a taste of narrative destitution which you can’t help getting caught up within.
