“Sticks and Stones” is the second single released by the up and coming Indie-Pop artist Haley Graves. The Florida-based newcomer may be entering a crowded genre with her acoustic guitar-driven sound, but with the visceral passion which she packs into every note, every layer of vocal harmony is enough to set her apart from the rest.
Even though the melody behind Sticks and Stones isn’t the most technical or intricate, the rhythm of the guitar progressions possessed a magnetism which drew you further into to the humbly sweet soundscape which Haley had organically created. Even though there’s a delicacy to the sound, Sticks and Stones is still void of vulnerability, instead, Haley Graves has exuded an arrestive amount of unapologetic confidence through her crystal-clear vocals and introspective.
