Recently, I’ve argued at great length that the artist isn’t separable from their art; and you can take Folk singer-songwriter FINJA as the perfect positive example of that statement. The up and coming recording artist has recently released their latest single “Calling You Home” to spill positive energy onto the airwaves using the law of attraction and Abraham Hicks as a muse.
There’s a deep sense of beauty in the fact that FINJA utilised an artfully creative soundscape to allow the listener to affirm with themselves that they too are powerful creators. In a society which frequently snubs people who dare to dream big as unrealistic, the Folk lullaby is a poignant reminder of just how wrong they are. Calling You Home is a soothing, transcendentally enveloping single which simultaneously uses the ambient energy to empower and unburden the listener of any self-doubt.
