“Shadow” is the debut single from Nashville-based Alt Pop artist Tony Apolczer who has taken inspiration for his first track from a diverse array of artists. Instead of striving to create an archetypal and easily ingestible track, Tony Apolczer looked to the likes of Billie Eilish, and Twenty One Pilots to create a striking and atmospherically moody track with Shadow.
The minor notes on the keys set a sombre mood in the prelude, yet in the verses which lead up to the chorus the momentum gently builds allowing the soundscape to feed you a subtle serving of melancholic euphoria. That’s the quite the juxtaposition to create in a track, it’s no wonder that so many people have already caught the hype of this release.
