From the very first verse in Alex Hassell’s standout single “Anything” from his debut album “Dilated Love” you’re gripped. The sheer sincerity and magnetic draw of the vocals share the same power possessed by artists such as Jack Johnson and Ray Lamontagne. Yet, instead of just going along with the same old acoustic guitar progressions, the up and coming artist mixed up the soundscape by incorporating soothingly cathartic Jazz segments before finishing on a teasingly raw concordant close.
The Atlanta-based artist also adds production and multi-instrumentalism to his repertoire of talents, and with his degree in Jazz studies you certainly won’t be disappointed in just how smooth the melodies to his single Anything is.
