Top supermodel Alana Monteiro brought style to the airwaves with her RnB meets dream-pop hit, Miss No More

Fuse wavy indie dream pop with swathes of contemporary appeal and Lynchian sonic cinematography, bed the synthesis into RnB roots, and you will be left with a hypnotic elixir which pours as deliciously as Alana Monteiro’s single, Miss No More.

The single unravels through the juxtaposition of lyrical vulnerability and the strident reclamation of power following a disempowering relationship that turned sour. The timbres in the track may run smooth, but there’s no putting out the fire Alana Monteiro started with her velvety luxe vocal lines that harness all the rage that is left in the ashes of a relationship that will never allow you to live up to your worth.

It’s a stunning release from the multi-faceted powerhouse of talent; when Alana Monteiro isn’t in the studio, she’s making waves in the fashion industry as a top supermodel who has made her way into the ranks of the top 100 black female models and acting in Emmy-award-winning films. Miss No More is definitive proof that her beauty is more than skin deep; it oozes from her soul into the lush production.

Stream the official lyric video for Miss No More which is slick with Burn Book-esque aesthetics and premiered on March 13 on YouTube.

Sinch magnetised the melodies with soul in their RnB release, My Man

Sinch

This week, we were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the forthcoming single, My Man, by the RnB luminary, Sinch, who knows just how to magnetise melodies, heal with harmonies, and paint panoramic vignettes with lyricism.

The track will take you right back to the 00s era of RnB, when Alicia Keys, Blu Cantrell, Black Eyed Peas, and Ashanti dominated the airwaves as Sinch pays an ode to the anticipation of hearing a key fumbling in the lock and welcoming your partner home.

To amplify the emotion in the single, the superlative songwriter and chanteuse singer juxtaposed the cosy and affectionate feelings with a sense of gratitude for sanctity within a soul and the truest definition of the word home, given the conflict that other people endure outside the idyllic four walls. It’s food for thought, a salve for the soul, and will become your rhythmic pulses’ new favourite ignition.

My Man is currently awaiting a release date; to be the first to know when it drops, follow Sinch on Instagram.

BEX made a divine debut with her soulfully meditative single, COME THRU

https://youtu.be/r-kgMelRc7U https://linktr.ee/bexfye

BEX (AKA Rebecca Lynn Giralde) started a new meditative revolution in soul with her debut single, COME THRU. Beyond the soulfully honeyed and beckoning vocal lines that tempt an amorous spark to ignite lingers her spiritual sense of self, which also manifests in her work as a yoga and reiki practitioner.

There’s a seductive sense of ease that drifts through every facet of the ambiently electrifying soundscape that reaches the pinnacle of sensuous for its warm tones and supple textures. If it has been a while since you had your soul melodically stirred, don’t hesitate to hit play on the cathartically strong debut.

When the Coral Springs-born, Brooklyn-raised American Afro-Latina singer isn’t in the studio, she’s radiating the same beauty that brings her music to visceral life as a professional model. She’s featured in worldwide beauty campaigns for major brands, including Clinique, and has been the face of a multitude of ad campaigns. Whatever she decides to turn her talents to next, it’s going to be literally or figuratively picture-perfect.

The official music video for BEX’s single, COME THRU, premiered on August 18th; stream it on YouTube.

The RnB-inclined fusionist, KaEl has released his alchemically intimate single, LondonTowne

‘LondonTowne’ is the standout seminal release from the RnB-inclined genre alchemist, KaEl. At the start of his career, the Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter committed to expressing his life, epiphanies, and afflictions through his music; he definitely came through in LondonTowne.

The low honeyed bass guitar and soft bluesy electric guitars create a stunning dynamic to the instrumentals that mellifluously flow under KaEl’s passionately demure classic-style RnB vocals. Any fans of Prince, Frank Ocean, Ye and Tyler, The Creator won’t want to miss out on this euphonically unforgettable release.

The official music video for LondonTowne is available to stream via YouTube.

Chris Paris – Confide: Meet Your New Favourite RnB Confidant

Bronx-born-and-raised RnB artist, Chris Paris, has been in the habit of pouring soul into his raw confessionals since his debut single release in 2021. In 2022, the artist that draws inspiration from the likes of Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Drake is back on demure form once again with his latest single, Confide.

By starting with the opening lyric, “I could always tell we were never on the same page”, you instantly relate to Paris and the universal struggle to find people on a similar wavelength. From there on out, you move through smooth RnB melodies and melodic hip hop beats that run under shimmering reverb and drink in Paris’ honeyed-in-spite-of-scorn vocal timbre.

Paris is everything that you’d want from a contemporary RnB artist; he brings a sharp slice of modernity to the genre through his candid lyrics, indie production style and fearlessness when it comes to stamping down his soulful signature.

Confide is now available to stream on all major platforms via this link.

Jaiy goes beyond the superficial in his latest RnB single, Prettyboyshit

We’d be seriously impressed if any other new RnB hit raised the temperature as high as Jaiy’s (Phillip Bradley Jr.) latest luxe single, Prettyboyshit.

The American RnB singer-songwriter found the perfect balance of salacity, soul and lavish excess in Prettyboyshit which smashes the archetypal RnB mould with its deep sub-bass, trappy 808s and straight from the soul, almost ethereally smooth, vocals. The Louisville, KY-hailing artist’s time spent contributing to the church choir evidently paid off with Prettyboyshit, and his equally as popular singles, Blame Game and Decisions.

Prettyboyshit is now available to stream and purchase on all major platforms via this link.

LOGUIDICE embraces her bold autonomy in her debut RnB pop EP, ONE.

LOGUIDICE

While most pop artists perform behind façade and ego, the up and coming RnB pop artist LOGUIDICE gives you a multifaceted view of her soulful, spiritual and fierce persona in her debut EP, ONE.

Tracks 1, Mood, is a vibe-heavy sultry RnB hit that shows the Bethlehem, PA-residing artist’s salacious side; nestled beside her demure attitude is her mindful, self-aware lyricism and a gorgeous ‘don’t fuck with me’ sense of soul.

Elevator brings the funk to the EP before track three allows you to respect LOGUIDICE as a pop vocalist as well as a rap artist. The delicious cadence mixed with the hypnotic 90s RnB beats provides alchemic catharsis. To truly demonstrate her versatility, track 4, Overthinkin’ is a sombre downtempo ballad, and the concluding single, Magnetic exhibits the best of the songwriter’s skill when it comes to creating a mood with her atmospherically layered tracks.

No amount of hype put behind LOGUIDICE will ever be hyperbole. We can’t wait to hear how she will follow on from her phenomenally promising debut.

LOGUIDICE’s debut EP, ONE, will be available to stream from October 29th; it is available to stream and download via this link.

Izzy St. Shaw takes the lead with the melody-driven RnB trap track, Money Long.

https://youtu.be/-NsRUXOuFn4

Texas-born, Atlanta-based RnB trailblazer Izzy St. Shaw has dropped his trippiest track to date with the release of his modern twist on Southern roots, Money Long. Whatever mindset you are in when you hit play, Money Long will make it sweeter as it explores the paradoxical place of money in our lives.

The wavy lo-fi RnB trap pop track comes as a result of Shaw’s eclectic affinity for Coldplay, Tame Impala and Kendrick Lamar, and, of course, his authentic talent that we can’t wait to hear more of. He’s got the soul, he’s got the style, and the lyrical intellect. What more could you possibly ask for?

The official video for Money Long dropped on October 14th; you can check it out for yourselves via YouTube.

King Brian calls for an end to injustice with his latest cinematic RnB single, Reparations

King Brian, AKA Brian Christopher Brown, is an American singer-songwriter, dancer, filmmaker and producer; he poured all of his cinematic poise into his latest single, Reparations. Starting with the hard-hitting lyrics ‘we’ve been cursed for so long, but we are still strong’, emotional investment in the single is non-optional.

His latest single does plenty more than just run you through 400 years of sufferance and oppression; it acts as a celebration of every triumph over adversity. King Brian takes plenty of influence from artists such as Michael Jackson, Tupac and Prince; there may not be much sonic resemblance in the soundscape. Yet, Reparations undoubtedly carries the same sense of soul that will test your own soul’s capacity to feel.

The Radio Edit of Reparations is now available to stream and purchase via Bandcamp.
