Suraeh brought the dance hall high vibes in his latest afro-pop single, Rest of Our Lives, featuring Bvle

After a seemingly endless bitter winter, Suraeh is bringing in the smitten summer high vibes in his latest afro-pop hit, Rest of Our Lives, featuring Bvle. The track starts in the fairly archetypal way of two strangers falling in love at first sight at the club, but Suraeh put a sticky-sweet spin on the familiar trope.

There’s always the connotation that the good times can’t last and they only come in fleeting and non-committal form but with the hooky chorus of “let’s just have a good time for the rest of our lives”, you don’t have much of a choice when it comes to your soul surrendering to the dancehall-inspired pop track that celebrates perpetual passion.

Tara Perez is lost in ennui in her latest single, ‘No Feelings in the Summer’.

If you spent this summer flying solo, Tara Perez’ latest electro-pop single, No Feelings in the Summer, serves a powerful reminder that living out romantic tropes under the sun isn’t mandatory, and to expect it as a given every year is naive.

Perez soulfully demonstrates with her latest single that summer without passion feels wasted but this progression in pop narratives is a positive one for the reality it brings to the airwaves and the meaningful connections that listeners lost in ennui can make with the blissfully melancholic single.

Bjorn Monnier has released his reggae-pop serenade, Samantha-Song

‘Samantha-Song’ is the latest reggae-infused pop serenade from the luminary artist Bjorn Monnier; the old-school crooning will send you swooning back to the 50s while the sun-bleached rhythms practically top up your vitamin D levels.

Whatever the secret to creating the perfect summer pop single is, Monnier discernibly knows about it, but we’re fairly convinced that it has plenty to do with his lyrical sincerity and conviction to pour himself into vocal performances entirely. The single soulfully explores how every exciting possibility leads to an infinite stream of uncertainty that often gets tainted by past experiences. If any single is going to convince you to delve into the unknown, it is this one.

HeartFace wants a taste in his hardstyle techno-pop track, Lick It.

Hedonistic tracks are often hit or miss, but HeartFace is right on the money with his infectiously salacious hardstyle techno-pop track, Lick It, which lyrically gives WAP a run for its money. Fans of LMFAO, Showtek, Pitbull and Dickheadz will want to refresh their playlists with the X-rated danceable drop. When Lick it drops in clubs, inhibition will soon fall away from the dancefloor.

Lick It takes a very different tone to HeartFace’s previous releases, but we’re stoked to see him back on the airwaves after a two-year stint. We can’t wait to hear what follows after he has set the bar so anthemically high.

Sensual Summer Reggae-Pop Vibes: Prymaal – Naughty Girl

Based on his latest single, Naughty Girl, Nigerian-born UK-based breaking artist Prymaal has returned to the music scene as a triple threat; his soulfully imploring vocals, playful lyrical approach and tropically blissful reggae-pop beats combine to create sensual summer vibes that won’t fail to serenade.

It really wouldn’t be a surprise if women are as quick to identify with the protagonist in Naughty Woman as they were to identify with Margot Robbie’s depiction of Harley Quinn. It’s an infectiously up-vibe track; you couldn’t ask for a sweeter summer pop hit.

Kaylin Cervini prescribes dark dance-pop with her intensely powerful single, ‘Bubble’.

Kaylin Cervini is set to release the most subversive dance-pop track of the year with her single, Bubble. After a moody, vulnerable and downtempo alt-pop intro, the single evolves into an intensely powerful feat of future pop that won’t fail to leave you galvanised.

The Rochester-NY artist has already made major waves with her sound that paradoxically offers intimacy despite the massive production. If you like your euphoric pop tracks to come with a heavy dose of realism, you’ll want to save a spot on your radar for Kaylin. Bubble finds a clever conceptual way to allude to the false sense of security happiness gives us and how exposed we feel when the rug is pulled from under us.

Ivon Roberts & A.M.K advocate for self-love in their summer pop anthem ‘Solo’.

Describing herself as “a hot mess in catchy song form”, Ivon Roberts is the girl-next-door pop icon we never knew we needed on our playlists. Her latest tropic electropop single, Solo, featuring A.M.K, is a summer pop anthem that doesn’t pander to the usual obsessed-in-love tropes. With Solo, she used her platform to promote self-love instead of narrating the chase of superficial love.

The infectiously euphoric release follows on from Ivon Roberts’ other pop hits that come with an infectious appeal. With her most popular single, Skinny, having racked up over 150k streams on Spotify alone, it is easy to see that she’s going to be a major part of the future pop scene. With vocals that could rival Gaga’s while carrying intimate indie appeal, she’s everything you could possibly ask for from a pop artist.

Constellation Prize bring the grooves in their bassy electro-pop hit, Chase That High.

UK-based dance-pop duo Constellation Prize is set to drop their most euphoric release to date, Chase That High; the endlessly energetic anthem will seal a spot on your summer pop playlists before the hooky chorus even hits.

With slightly filthier basslines than you would expect from your average future pop track, Chase That High is adrenalizing from start to finish. Perhaps most notably, the artist brings serious swathes of style to the high-vibe pop anthem. All too often, feel-good tracks fall into the trite and cliché trap, but Constellation Prize is nothing if not refreshing and organic in their electro-pop style that modernises 80s – 00s dance-pop grooves.

Up and coming RnB pop artist Marven Denis speaks to the romantic cynics in his latest up-vibe sun-soaked single, Close to Me, which breaks the mono-cultural mould by allowing tropic reggae-style bass-riding beats to create a solid structure for Denis to lay down his serenading lyrics.

With infectiously catchy choruses and Denis’ fresh approach to his sound that spans across multiple genres and hemispheres, Close to Me has all the potential to become one of the biggest hits this summer.

Denis’ started his journey as an artist by learning bass playing traditional gospel music before he started to explore more genres and work on his composing, directing and producing talent. Which goes some way in explaining how there is so much soul and authenticity in this release.
