Sa’ra Charismata – Hypocrites: a powerful demeanor

Politically enraged, satirically honest and with an undoubtedly seductive voice, Sa’ra Charismata possesses quite an astonishing energy you wouldn’t want to hold down. That’s the opening image you need to bear in mind when you hit play on Hypocrites.

Loosely mirroring Pink’s powerful demeanor, or at least that’s how Sa’ra Charismata struck me, Hypocrites is a trap-y pop attack to a political propaganda we’re all victims of.

What could at first seem like a “girl power” anthem explodes into a wakeful uproar throughout the second verse and chorus where the light distortion in her vocals overdrive the whole feel of the track.

Elin Bellander – Distant: An incredibly ambiguous yet meaningful pop hit

Pop mixed with elements of R&B is what the new single ‘’Distant’’ by Swedish artist Elin Bellander offers.

Throughout it’s up-beat, infectious and super catchy, it’s one of them that will be stuck in your head, but in a good way. Elin’s vocal range is insane, she has a voice that is so mesmerising to listen too, it’s unique and as the beat begins to pick up pace, the vocal range begins to hit the high notes spot on and it’s definitely impressive.

Pop music is known for being something that can boost your mood, letting the beat move you and having this connection with the lyrics. Distant gives it’s listeners that Pop feeling we all know and love. The lyrical approach reflects a past experience with a relationship, which is a  topic that many listeners would relate too and it screams girl power.

Every part from the instrumentals, the vocals and the overall sound is well thought out and it goes hand and hand with one another, it’s creative and one that needs to be listened too.

The up and coming artist has created a short track that shows huge potential for the future and we can’t wait to see what Elin Bellander is going to do next.

Black Beach Baby – Nothing – Band Explores The Melodies And Energy Of Brit-Pop On New, Exciting Single.

Black Beach Baby set out to create an eclectic, original and edgy sound – somewhere in between pop, indie and alternative rock, but with a slick, modern sound. The band is quickly becoming a solid name within the local music scene, and not only: their recent release “Nothing” is actually with something!

Sorry, I just couldn’t resist. Cheekiness aside, this song is a great example of the band’s remarkable sound and ability to focus on high-quality songwriting that feels engaging and appealing.

“Nothing” feels very natural for the band, as Black Beach Baby dives into a direct arrangement where interlacing melodies are essential to the “movement” and feel of the track. The song really strikes for its raw and emotional energy, combined with the skilled musicianship of the band members. The track is a particularly amazing example of the band’s taste for energy and dance-friendly grooves. The vocals in the song have a broad scope and can easily swing from low to high, really controlling the dynamic response of the whole track, adding energy when needed and kicking it back when some more intimacy is required.

On this particular track, Black Beach Baby’s work reminds me of artists as diverse as Arctic Monkeys, The Shins or Kaiser Chiefs, going for a very powerful and instinctive approach that really adds appeal and interest to the song.
