https://soundcloud.com/skylarbennett/lately/s-q1SLyB1xGrJ

Skylar Bennett has dropped his single ‘Lately’ this Pop track has this happy and uplifting feeling about it, with its super energetic vocals and infectious melodies.

Starting off with this soft instrumentation that collides in the background, always making sure that it’s upbeat and lively throughout as the beat does tend to get louder and a bit more crazy.

This song is powerful and as you listen, you instantly feel good and it’s one that boosts your mood within a few seconds because it has this high energy and fun way about it and that’s why it’s such an amazing piece of music.

Skylar has some incredible vocal ranges, keeping that same soft texture as the overall sound has and having the rather modulated melodic vocal that really makes this song stand out. The way in which the instrumental flows in an out of the unique vocals is perfect.

ZeNith releases Rap track Diamonds ft SADI

Boston-based rap duo ZeNith has dropped their recent track ‘Diamond’ ft SADI a Rap and R&B infused single.

Pulling inspirations from Kendrick Lamar, talking about important topics to do with mental health, upbringing, love through their talent of creating meaningful lyrics as they turn it into their own style through their way of Rap. It’s a fairly short track, but you do get a taste of what they have to offer in that time, the pulsing beat that comes through the vocals as the lyrics are repeated in the background in a more distorted deep tone.

Incorporating the sound effect of a record being mixed, and the flow of the variety of sounds that intertwine into the overall rhythm of the track, the vocals are very much keeping it at that low-pitch, keeping it honest and explicit and having that fast pace to it keeping it engaging and upbeat.

If R&B is your thing and you’re looking for new music to listen to be sure to check this one out by ZeNith.

WilStar – OH LA LA: Drip Drop Dope

The inability of most rap artist to breathe creativity in every line of their work is something all good music enthusiast and loyalist can’t help but complain about. So many things have really changed in the rap game these days, it quite seems to be all about jumping right in the boot to record a song the moment the music producer finally hit some nice chords combo to put out a cool beat.

Whatever happened to music with a good intent of addressing a problem?

It ain’t always about cooking up a well-penned cuss/ diss track or spitting those heavy bars while trying to sound like a lyrical prodigy at rap cyphers. Trust me, this Hip Hop song ain’t nothing like what you’ve heard in a long while; it couldn’t have been sang any better.

Apart from that simple but yet captivating “She be Like Oh La La” chorus that softly adds more happy vibe the song, another thing that’s very hard to miss is that brilliant sound that hurls off every iota of uncertainty as regards the validity of the song’s quality, miles away each minute the song plays.

The Flow of the music and the lyrics are also well punctured and organized. It’s really nice to know that Wilstar is still fresh in the industry and I presume he would be able to pull out more dope songs in his subsequent work with ease.

Hippy Creed – Last Night: 420 Friendly Funk

Call me old fashioned, but when I think of a ‘Hippy’ sound, what doesn’t come to mind is an R&B Rap artist and his music about sleeping with women whose names he cannot remember.

Never the less, in its own right, Last Night is an audiophiles delight, which has fans pumped about the Atlanta, Georgia Hip Hop artists sound which is produced to perfection.

Whilst the lyrics are uninventive, the sound supports the track through his slightly linear musings. Hippy Creed pertains the image that he’s more than just your average Hip Hop artist and within his sound lies a movement based around the importance of being aware at all times. I suppose that for someone with such a 420 inclination, that message may seem pretty necessary.

Any fans of Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Tech Nine are in for a treat with this track, under it’s superficiality, Hippy Creed has a vocal ability and flow that will make him the envy of many R&B artists.

Dream-Rap? Is That Even A Thing?

Even with the amount of new music being made every day, with sheer weight of collective imaginations, the genre splicing experiments, the fusing and fusion of styles Garrison Carver seems to be on to something new here. Yes, there is a trippy trap beat, a cool R&B vibe and a rap delivery but that is then cocooned in something totally unexpected. Around these more expected elements he wraps a dream-pop haze, chilled psychedelia and electronic washes.

It’s confusing, but experience tells us that is a good thing, expectations are made to be subverted, rules are made to be broken and new musical horizons are their to be explored and DD does all of those things and more. Blissed out hip-hop? Ethereal R&B? Dream-rap? Are those even a thing? The fact that you have to invent whole new genres to put the music in is an indication of just how original this music is and how singular and lateral Garrison Carver’s thinking is.

Haute Rod – Condo Dreams, Ft. PhllfthyBoiUrg: Beats for Ballers

Whilst I’m not sure the best way to go with a track is to divulge your consumerist desires, the new track by Haute Rod – Condo Dreams has a unique charm about it. There’s a delectable taste of innocence within the sound that mixes with the hope and aspiration, which is in its own special way, is pretty charming. Haute Rod may rap about getting himself a Bentley GT, but still, he offers heart felt lyrics through warming vocals.

Condo Dreams is pretty much your atypical Hip Hop Rap track, following similar styling to acts such as Kanye West and Jay Z with it’s contemporary styling and baller attitude. The track has been polished to perfection by Grammy winning mastering engineer Chris Gehringer. The sleek styling is definitely the biggest selling point of this track, it’s definitely resonating with the right audience, they’re going down as a hit with their fan base, all eager to celebrate the dope styling.

If you share a lust for the high life then make sure you check out the latest single by Haute Rod which is the first release off their debut album ‘The Complication’ on the YouTube. Condo Dreams is also available to download via iTunes now.

Rap Artist & Performer Coe Stands Out With Release ‘Pushing Buttons’

Rap artist and performer Coe stands out for his inspired lyrical deliver and masterful flow. His talent is absolutely apparent in the context of his brand new studio release, “Pushin Buttons”. The song has a very modern edge feel, with trap influences and a great production value that makes me think of artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Kanye West or Joey Bada$$, just to mention but a few.

It all starts from a well-calibrated set of 808-style samples: the unmistakable drum machine beat is powerful and direct, cutting through the mix with grit and power. The vocals are certainly strong enough to sustain the weight of the music, allowing the song to really stand out.

What I really like about “Pushin Buttons” is that the song as an unmistakably modern feel, but Coe’s influences are also related to old school masters of the genre, making for a really innovative and direct approach. The production is truly outstanding, as the track feels balance and powerful in every way – from the deep impact of the drum beats to the melodic elements, pushing through the mix with quixotic conviction.

Sherwood Rahming Tells Us All About His High School Crush In Laid Back Tune “The One That Got Away”

Sherwood Rahming is an upcoming hip-hop talent from the Bahamas fusing straight forward lyrics and themes with a soulful vibe and laid back groove. In his song “The One That Got Away” he in fact freely expresses his feelings for his high school crush through lyrics which a lot of people can relate to. But writing passionate thematic material is not Sherwood’s only forte. With jazzy trumpet and guitar lines flowing throughout the instrumental basis of the song a cool and natural aspect is created. Apart from this, the lyrics are also expressed in a light way which subtly and gracefully brings out the humorous aspect behind the theme.

With evident influences from the greats of Neo Soul Sherwood Rahming’s sound in “The One That Got Away” explores mellow relaxed bass grooves, natural guitar lines, sporadic delicate piano tones and a deep warm voice that matter of factly delivers the lyrics with a relaxed tone. All these elements culminate in an organic sound that is both enjoyable and quite interesting, showcasing Sherwood’s musical capabilities and desire to celebrate love even in its simplest and most natural forms while raising his listener’s vibrations to a higher level. This young upcoming talent is definitely one to keep an eye out for!

A&R Factory Present: Rushes debut single “Wild High”

https://youtu.be/rdiqkTmeGF0

Contrast would be the best word to describe singer-songwriter/producer Rushes. Growing up in a small rural town in Ireland isn’t something you normally associate with soulful cutting edge electronic sounds. The time had finally come for Rushes to fly the coop and explore his opportunities by moving to Dublin permanently to refine his craft and link up with innovators who understood his vision.

In 2017, Rushes joined creative collection Diffusion Lab, who has the likes of Soulé and Jafaris in their ranks to bring his diverse ideas alive. Rushes draws inspiration from artists like N.E.R.D, D’Angelo, Frank Ocean, Radiohead, Jai Paul, Kanye West, Marvin Gaye and Prince but never limits his sonic palette.

Rushes debut single “Wild High” droped on May 26th. An alluring blend of electro-RnB infused with smooth wavy vocals and perfectly polished production.

With “Wild High”, Rushes launches himself into the eye of the music industry with the intent of being heard. For visuals, he teamed up with Gorilla – Nathan Barlow, responsible for Soulé, Jafaris recent music videos.

A&R Factory Present: Roberto Horns

Using social media and streaming sites to his advantage for some time now, singer and producer Roberto Horns is on the cusp of his breakthrough moment.

The singer already released his first album, Die in Peace, in 2016. But he has now returned with yet another thought provoking but catchy song in the form of Porn.

It’s only natural for a singer who was birthed from the Internet to sing about something else the Internet has given us, but Porn is anything but a lewd and crude ode to Horns’ sordid browser history.

With the trumpets giving a real live music feeling to the song, Horns moans about his string of meaningless one-night stands as he wishes he had something more substantial.

A song like this needs a singer who oozes charisma and Horns definitely does that throughout. At one point he even begins to rap assuring the listener that despite his promiscuous nature, deep down he is a good guy.

It’s that same charisma and charm that will convince listeners to play this song over and again because at it’s core, it’s funny. And considering the state the world is currently in right now everyone could with a good laugh.
