Oda Kauffman – Chun Li Type Beat: Ambiently Immersive Instrumental Hip Hop

https://soundcloud.com/odakauffman/chun-li-type-beat

The ingenuity in Hip Hop artist and producer Oda Kauffman’s mix “Chun Li Type Beat” doesn’t wait around before revealing itself.

The Canadian artist drops a new beat every day. Even if you don’t appreciate their immersive production style (you will), you should definitely find adoration in their unrelenting motivation to put out beats which are made to sink into and appreciate the rhythmically dynamic catharsis.

Even though there’s plenty of conviction behind the Trap style beats in Chun Li Type Beat, there’s also a trippy amount of ambient wavy reverb which makes the mix impossibly easy to slip into.

It’s only a matter of time before Oda Kauffman gets the recognition they deserve.

Ottzdigga – WVSND: Bass-Driven Instrumental Trap

While there’s a slight risk of aurally-induced brain trauma if you press play on Ottzdigga’s wavy mix WVSND at full volume, the instrumental bass-heavy trap single comes highly recommended.

No part of WVSND resonates as harsh or discordant – no matter how much reverberance the soundscape throws at you thanks to the smooth spacey polish of the production.

It may only be a short and sweet mix. But the entire duration offers potent amounts of escapism as you lose yourself in the deft creation of Ottzdigga’s ingenuity. WVSND is proof that Trap mixes don’t always need lyrics to deliver the emotive blows. They’re surplus to the requirement if the beats can offer that much immersive catharsis.

Ford Sharpless – Blue? : Ambient Urban Lo-Fi Instrumental Hip Hop

Ford Sharpless dropped their highly-anticipated Instrumental Lo-Fi Hip Hop album “The Cool Era” in November 2019. And it’s exactly what it says on the tin.

The lucid Jazz-soaked beats may be mellow, yet Ford Sharpless’ production skills ensure that each progression spills plenty of winding cathartic mesmerism. Listening to all 13 tracks is highly recommended, but the perfect introduction to their ambient urban nuanced style is the standout track “Blue?”.

The US-based artist first made their inception back in 2003, in the 16 years since they’ve mastered the ability to offer polished aural bliss in their soundscapes. Furthermore, they do it with plenty of distinction.

OLD PUP – FANTASi: Ambiently Immersive Downtempo House

https://soundcloud.com/old-pup/fantasi-demo

Up and coming Electronica artist OLD PUP has recently dropped their latest EP “New Tricks” and shared with the airwaves a potent amount of aural serenity.

The perfect introduction to the artist and producer’s slightly Lo-Fi, infinitely cathartic style is the standout track “FANTASi” which unravels as a light, spacey, downtempo feat of instrumental Hip Hop and Ambient House.

If you’re looking for artists offering trippy lucid vibes to add to your playlists, you won’t go far wrong with the light, warm tones found in the multilayers of OLD PUP’s deftly smooth mixes. They may be fresh from their inception, but evidently, that hasn’t prevented them from putting out fresh stylistic mixes.

Illegal NoiZe – Keep it Trill: Darkly Phantasmal Electronic Hip Hop

When it comes to dark Electronic Instrumental Hip Hop, no one quite beats the ominously captivating tones of Illegal NoiZe. Their recently released single “Keep it Trill” is just one of the hauntedly fresh singles which you will find on their debut album “The Black Album 2”.

Instead of producing a lucid Dreamwave soundscape, they’ve used their experimentalism to take you on a journey of chillingly atmospheric aural alchemy in Keep it Trill. Spooky season is over for this year but Keep it Trill is a chilling mix which will keep on giving. It may be a downtempo track, but there’s little chance your attention will falter from the dystopian single.

Mummy Club – White Sands: The Darkest Cinematic Ambient Instrumental Hip Hop You’ll Hear This Year

“White Sands” is the latest track to be released from Mummy Club’s upcoming album “NOCTURNAL NATURE”, which fans of ambient instrumental hip hop may want to prick up their ears for.

When it comes to instrumental hip hop, it isn’t all too often you can expect to find yourself submerged in a cinematically dark soundtrack which is as soothing as it is ominous. Yet, Mummy Club isn’t your average instrumental hip hop artist, the textures he weaves together in White Sands allows his style to resonate as organic as the same time as being infinitely accessible.

Crillfingers – Final Verdict: Flawlessly Hypnotic Instrumental Hip Hop

The beat behind Crillfingers latest Hip Hop drop “Final Verdict” was so hyped there was absolutely no room for vocals in the instrumental electronica track.  Whilst I’ll never turn my nose up at a solid, expressive Rap bar, the beat to Final Verdict moved me more than most Hip Hop tracks I’ve heard from underground artists recently.

The production is slick and seamless and allows the flawlessly fluid hypnotic beats to progress through the ambient yet intricate melodies. The switch ups and breakdowns are subtle, yet they serve to remind you how entrenched you are in the track which squeezes palpable lucidity out of the 808s. If you’re looking for the ultimate blend of catharsis bounce behind your beats look no further than the almost cinematic offering cooked up by Crillfingers.

You can check out Final Verdict for yourself by heading over to SoundCloud now, if you’re looking for the ultimate hit of catharsis, why not check out the rest of his debut album “Crillfingers Type Beats Vol. 1”

Sideswipe – E.M.P.: Strikingly Sombre Instrumental Hip Hop

Goners by sideswipe

I can’t tell you how many times I get into a Hip Hop beat and end up dreading being hit by weak Rap bars. Thankfully, Sideswipe has come to the rescue with his Instrumental Hip Hop masterpiece E.M.P. The Philadelphia based artist put his production skills to the test with this transiently immersive track that doesn’t lose your attention even for a moment. Sideswipe uses a mix of eclectic sound to create his pioneering production which almost had the reminiscence of the Twin Peaks soundtrack as composed by Angelo Badalamenti. Sideswipe has created a contemporary mix of urban veracity around an infinite depth which points towards the artists sombre sensibility.

E.M.P. is just one of the tracks from the audio engineers 2018 debut album ‘Goners’ which Sideswipe created in his amiably informal DIY style. The fact that such a hauntingly beautiful instrumental beat was created in a home studio stands as testament to the fact that money is no object when it comes to pure talent.
