Fleeting artfully revived the alt-90s take on dream pop with his latest single, Enso

The angular indie ambience in the latest single, Enso, from the Philadelphian bedroom producer Fleeting is something for every alt-90s fan to get excited about.

Beyond the Gorillaz and Radiohead influences are the hazy textures of dream pop and Slowdive-Esque shoegaze guitars spliced with the trippy discord of the downtempo artfully placed breakbeats that keep you centred in the mostly instrumental mix. For even more catharsis, turn to the other 24 artfully orchestrated hits in his 2022 self-titled album. We know we will. Repeatedly.

Enso is now available to stream on Spotify.

Mallaigh Ashton made the alt-90s her own with her latest dreampop single, With a Song

NYC-hailing singer-songwriter, Mallaigh Ashton, made the alt-90s her own in her indie dream-pop release, With a Song. Reminiscences of Mazzy Star are there, but nothing about With a Song feels fractionally assimilative. There’s a real sense that part of the alchemy in this track is from Ashton’s creative passion and unfiltered poetry spilling into a mic.

Her vocals get just enough prominence in the release to give the cutting lyricism on in-love-anxiety a firm hold on your heartstrings but there’s still enough synergy with the soft shoegaze guitars to give With a Song an almost phantasmal mellifluous air as it alludes to just how fragile love can make you.

As a staunch shoegaze fan, it is always daunting discovering new up and coming artists borrowing tones from the alt 90s, but the cynicism soon faded after hitting play on With a Song. Mallaigh Ashton is a matchlessly breath-taking artist.

With a Song is due for official release on March 4th; you can check it out for yourselves via SoundCloud and Spotify.

You can’t sleep without them: Jordyn Kenzie is simply intoxicating on new dream-pop single ‘Night Wears Off’

https://soundcloud.com/jordyn-kenzie/night-wears-off-1/s-Cayic7RlRKI

Jordyn Kenzie is a Nashville based writer, creator, singer-songwriter, and Pennsylvania native. She has just dropped her latest innocently pure dream-pop single called ‘Night Wears Off’. She has a special talent that is being used to chase the stunning sunsets and to inspire our sleepy souls to be happy again.

The galaxy sparkle glitters in the sun-kissed sky during this passionate love song with lots of electro-pop that pinches your arm just a little; to see if it’s real. A story about wanting that tender touch from the special person you care so much about. The night wears off when they aren’t next to you, stroking your hair and looking into your glowing eyes with that sweet smile you dream about. This is that special feeling that makes your happy heart giddy and bust open to attach lovingly to the lucky human who if they are smart, will look after it like a valuable treasure chest.

When you listen to an artist of this quality you start smiling and you close your eyes, lost in your reminiscing thoughts about when you last felt fulfilled like this emotionally.

The classy production and quick-fire lyrics blend seamlessly into your fluffy pillow as you rest that tired body as the crazy year has dragged out most of your energy and sapped your strength. Luckily, we have a splendid song like this to lift our spirits up and stay positive.

The scary thing is that Jordyn Kenzie is just getting started. Her freshly elegant exuberance is a pleasure to listen to and she has put together a top team to help her is all aspects of her career. If she can start focused and limit unnecessary distractions, Jordyn can literally do anything she sets her mind to.

Night Wears Off’ is a new song that deserves lots of love as the evenings can be sad and lonely without that special human in your life.

Stream the electrifying single from Jordyn on her Soundcloud and follow her socials on IG and FB.

BrooksOfYork – To Giants: Indie Dreampop You Won’t Want to Wake Up From

Within up and coming Indie artist BrooksOfYork’s latest single To Giants, you’ll find compassion, modernism, and plenty of reasons to repeatedly press play.

The clean guitar tones under delay and reverb bring a sense of fragility to the soundscape while the resoundingly magnetic vocals draw you into the profoundly contemplative lyrical narrative.

With To Giants, BrooksOfYork found the perfect balance of intricate Indie Rock experimentalism and sticky sweet Pop sincerity. Their dreamy signature blend of electronica and acoustic elements offers a rare level of nuance which rarely hits the airwaves.

Naturally, as with every artist who efficaciously hits the evocative spot with their sound, we can’t wait to hear what follows.

You can check out To Giants for yourselves by heading over to Spotify.
