Bluesy goodness with sunglasses on with Archie Baker’s ‘Holiday’

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=8&v=ToXoQOT731g

Archie Baker returns with another soulful gem with his latest visuals for ‘Holiday‘.

Archie Baker is a London-born, Sheffield-based alternative soul & blues musician. Having moved to Sheffield in 2016, Archie joined a popular soul and blues function band as a guitarist. Whilst playing weddings, summer balls and parties Archie found his niche as a vocalist and began to write his own music. With help from talented musicians around the scene, he developed a style of music suitable for his distinctive vocal style. This is a great story about an underdog who soon made his name and is now known throughout the music scene.

Archie’s music can be characterized by a strong blues and rock foundation with flourishes of funk and soul dusted throughout the sound – creating an eclectic and fresh flavor of modern soul & blues.

With a groovy start, this soon sets up to a the genre-ambiguous soul-fusion track with a thrilling afrobeat rhythm and a screaming jazzy sax solo that we were promised. Archie’s voice is so soulful and I love the mellow style that illuminates the video. This is some grown up music right here and would fit in perfectly in any country in the world that appreciates great music. The vibe is funky fresh and Archie’s band add so much to this fab track.

Archie Baker’s ‘Holiday‘ is the summer song we all needed as it is classy, gets you in the groove and shows us the huge talent of this fantastic artist based in Sheffield.

Midnight Drive’s ‘Over It’ is the electro anthem of 2020

Midnight Drive are a new electronic act in the game and they return with their 3rd single called ‘Over It‘.

Nothing is going to save this relationship sadly. The love has gone and you are over it. You had amazing memories but the time to turn the page and close the book is now. You need to move on and be free again, finding happiness is this destructive world is key to your mental health.

There is lots of indie electro forces here and the beat is so jarring and thuds into your ears. I love the beat and the raspy vocals make this a winner. This a breakout anthem that is a pleasure to listen to.

Midnight Drive’sOver Itshines through the door like a bright light wanting to force itself in. There is a style and a panache here that is unlike most bands. This is an outfit that are making a name for themselves.

Sacrifice in Cultra fight through the desert with story of ”Pills and Dust”

Pills and Dust” from Sacrifice in Cultra is the earth-shattering rock-electro sound that defies what I have heard before. This is a song with meaning and so is their movement.

Founded in 2018, Sacrifice in Cultra is not just a fashion brand, it is an artist network geared towards change and will continue to push the boundaries set in place without selling out.

Taken off recent full 12 track album ”Redacted”, this bouncy song has a mightily menacing beat that breaths fire onto our soul.

Pills and Dust” is about all those parties that start to blur after awhile and the journey to make sure that you can fully be in the moment. This is a phenomenal release that launches high above the cloud with the bass-filled steam train that build up the mountain and to our souls.

Kentucky R&B artist Faif deals with more loss on well-received video ”Fallen Tears”

Kentucky’s 2019 R&B Artist of The Year, Faif has been gaining much momentum in the music industry in the US. Although the vibrant artist with a great voice is capable of writing hook packed, party jams, his latest single strikes a sad topic. He reminisces about lost friends, addressing them by name as he struggles to reconcile with his grief. Teaming up with Dantana Smith (cultivating_perception) Faif brings his fourth single produced by Siahonthebeats titled “Fallen Tears”.

This is a fantastic song laced with such sadness and Faif strides forward with so much purpose. The R&B artist sends a fabulous tribute to those that have lost their lives. He expresses the grief in such a classy way and must be applauded for such class during a troubling time.

Fallen Tears” is a moment of respect for the people in Faif’s life that have been sadly lost and this is a sad song with real meaning. It’s a mark to the man that he put this song out to celebrate their lives.
