Panaviscope – Kiss Yourself to Death: Snipingly Sweet Indie Pop

As you can probably gather from the title of Panaviscope’s latest single “Kiss Yourself to Death”, when you hit play, you’ll be greeted by an exceptionally eccentric soundscape.

Yet, the Switzerland-based artist succeeded in not just creating a playful up-vibe track which unfolds as a novelty when you’re thinking about the person you love to hate. Instead, there are cheeky antagonistic elements incorporated into a stylistically experimental Indie Electronica Pop soundscape.

Through contemporary wavy psychedelic ingenuity Kiss Yourself to Death is a track which unfolds with a rare quintessential charm and any fans of Damon Albarn’s more experimental side will undoubtedly find plenty of reasons to fall enamoured with this snipingly sweet track. Even if you find that it’s not quite your cup of tea, you won’t be forgetting the track in a hurry.

Reo Rae – On the Outside: The Most Memorably Haunting Voice in Electronica Pop You’ll Hear This Year

Any fans of London Grammar, Florence and the Machine, Lorde, and Royal Blood probably shouldn’t hang around in checking out the up and coming artist Reo Rae’s stunning Electronica Pop single “On the Outside”.

The way Reo Rae’s powerful waves of harmony sit in perfect synergy with the instrumentals is enough to leave your stomach in knots. Each new progression in the single had a new viscerally magnetic pull drawing you into the soundscape until every cell in your body stands to attention to Reo Rae’s captivatingly raw vocal presence. Perhaps what is so striking about On the Outside is that no vocal note feels forced, nothing feels unnatural. And while you’ll get tracks from exceptionally blessed vocalists which just stand as a testament to their vocal talent, On the Outside is soulfully organic and immeasurably haunting.

Liar Liar – The Dark Will Do: A Lucid Soundscape of Ambient Electronica Pop

Liar Liar are an Indie Electronica Pop duo whose New Wave anthems bleed pure sophistication. My IQ feels significantly raised just by checking out their latest ambiently laid-back alternative mix of minimalism. Their latest single The Dark Will Do absolutely teeming with Electronica Pop hooks that draw you even further into the lucid soundscapes. Finding an act to compare to Liar Liar to is almost an impossible task, their Pop sensibility is overridden with their synthy sensibility to create a truly pioneering sound. Around the swirls of the synth there is plenty of instrumental harmony to perfectly round off the song around the 808 beats and the vocals are quite literally in a league of their own, whilst ironically sounding a little like Phil Oakley.

Liar Liar are most definitely the full package, and I can’t see how they’d fail to brighten up any playlist with their playfully futuristic sound. I could easily drink in an entire album from the up and coming duo, I just hope they don’t keep me waiting too long.
