Chill Hip Hop

Break the habit with G.Pari$’s melodic hip hop track, Patterns

With chill melodic beats, mic-drop lyrical lines that make the metaphors feel endless, and a sense of expressive compassion, the G.Pari$ sonic experience leaves little to be desired.

His latest single, Patterns finds an immersive way to prove that we are all just creatures of frantic habit, and we will all end up in neurotic ruins if we don’t take a step back to intersect our emotions and actions with mindfulness.

That mediative sense of self-awareness effortlessly reads through the ambient old-school-meets-new-wave grooves that effortlessly synergise with G.Pari$’s matter of fact but evocatively charged bars.

G.Pari$ is exactly the kind of artist you need on your radar if you’re always looking for artists to spill as much wisdom as they do catharsis.

Patterns is now available to stream on Spotify.

Walker Deuce takes ambient trap to the realms of old school hip hop with ‘Chill’

From freestyle prodigy to vibe master, Walker Deuce’s sound may have evolved, but his bold, raw energy remains as visceral as ever. His standout release, Chill, has all the makings of your next vibe out playlist staple.

The short and sweet track may only run through for 1:34-minutes, but that is all the time it took for the Portland-based artist to lull you into a state of reflective catharsis through the wavy trippy tones and nostalgic old school sensibilities.

Chill carries all the grit of 80s hustler hip hop, but its colourful cadence and indie guitars stay on the more soulful and affable side of expression. Any fans of Snoop Dogg, Mac Miller, Dre won’t want to hang around in introducing Walker Deuce to their playlists.

Along with releasing eight albums, plus plenty more EPs and singles, the rapper and songwriter gives back to the hip hop scene as an indie label owner.

Chill officially released on September 29th; you can check it out for yourselves on YouTube.

DC Millionz regrets the ‘XO’s in his seminal trap track

Up and coming hip hop artist, DC Millionz, proved that he’s seamlessly in line with the contemporary trap trends with the release of his debut EP, Dc’s World, which follows on from his 2021 debut single, be safe.

The standout single from his EP, XO, is the perfect introduction to his raw lyricism, enigmatic personality and angst-stripping melodies. It is easily one of the most realistic love songs to hit the airwaves in 2021 for the way it encompasses ghosting and the regret that hits us after connecting with the wrong people only to find ourselves even more alone.

The philosophical proposition that the romantics ruined everything by implanting unattainable ideals rings especially true in XO. It proves that not all scepticism is cynicism; sometimes, it is just common sense to take a dim view of what romance puts in front of us.

XO is now available to stream on Spotify.

2020 has sucked in pretty much every capacity aside from the new music is being born from these perplexing and anger-inducing times. Breaking Hip Hop artist Sai dropped their new album on XVII on July 10th and poured some much-needed soul onto the airwaves.

Each of the tracks on the release possesses the ability to leave you feeling uplifted, but you’ll practically reach a new plateau when you hit play on Blessings in Time. The Jazz-laden downtempo feat of RnB-infused Hip Hop feels more insightful and inspirational with every listen. And that’s not the only reason while you’ll want to give Blessings in Time plenty of repeat attention.

The authentic, accessible and expressive mix is exactly the kind of music we need on the airwaves today. It’s raw, it’s honest, it’s humble, but most importantly, it has the potential to organically offer good vibes.

Hervé Claude didn’t need lyrics or vocals to infuse plenty of soul into their exotically inviting soundscape “Freeze” which can be found on their dreamy 2020 album “Saturday Morning

The hazy single plays with ambient EDM and instrumental Hip Hop textures to keep you guessing where the seamlessly mellifluous progressions are going to take you next. Vibe out with Dirk Diggler’s transfixing Ambient Trap single “VONTAZE BURFICT”

https://soundcloud.com/dirksongs/burfict-mastered-with-cloudbounce-24bit-1

Every now and again, you’ll hit play on a Hip Hop track which utterly consumes you from the first verse. If it’s been a while since you’ve struck aural Rap gold, hit play on Dirk Diggler’s standout single VONTAZE BURFICT.

It’s playful, it’s convictive and it offers a fresh new approach to Party Hip Hop. While the beats will leave you hypnotised, Dirk Diggler’s bars which rest atop of them get you in the mood for hedonism.

VONTAZE BURFICT is just one of the tracks which you’ll find on their 2020 release CODIRK-19, while each track is as indulgent as the last, VONTAZE BURFICT is a mould-breaking feat of Trap which is all too easy to connect with.

JoeTheRapper flexes their grounding lyrical ingenuity and experimental Hip Hop style in their 2020 EP “NOVAD II”

If you love discovering authentic breaking Hip Hop artists as much as we do, prepare to be awe-struck by JoeTheRapper’s 2020 EP “NOVAD II”.

The 5 tracks may differ in tempo and tone, but they all offer striking emotion which spills from JoeTheRapper’s connectable soulful Bars which consistently lay down witty relatable introspection over the jazzy warm beats.

All of the tracks instilled visceral emotion. But no track hit harder than TOXIC. We all know toxic and abusive relationships exist, but so infrequently do they become the subject of tracks – of any genre.

I’ll never forget the resounding impact of TOXIC and JoeTheRapper’s attack on Toxic behaviour which gets to the heart of the issue without losing empathy. It left me the affirmation that if JoeTheRapper steps to the mic, he’ll always have something to say that’s worth hearing.

You can check out JoeTheRapper’s latest release NOVAD II via Spotify.

Maxxid – WAVES: Ukulele-Based Chill Hop Beats

https://soundcloud.com/maxxidmusic/waves

The ukulele will probably never be the most popular instrument in the world, for the most part, that’s due to Folk artists orchestrating grating jangly melodies.

But ukulele-based chill Hip Hop beats? That’s something that everyone needs to hit play on at least once. So, it’s a good thing up and coming Hip Hop artist Maxxid has recently dropped their Lo-Fi vibe-out track “WAVES”. Aptly, the track is hypnotically wavy. As the beats work their way around the intricately transcendental melodies, Maxxid lays down his harmonically magnetic soft vocals which make you realise that Hip Hop and poetry aren’t all that loosely connected. Especially when a ukulele was thrown into the mix.

Naturally, we’re all too excited to hear what Maxxid serves up next – with their pioneering approach to contemporary music, pretty much anything is possible.
