Drink From The Bottle: San Diego band Halcyon Club set fire to the night on ‘TLITBF’

Released from their December 2021-dropped 2-track EP called ‘Dance ‘Til The Mourning‘, Halcyon Club is in pursuit of the true purpose in this life that is challenging to bear sometimes with ‘TLITBF‘.

Halcyon Club is a 4-piece multi-instrumentalist alt-rock/pop group that is based in sunny San Diego, California in the USA who seem to assemble those dreamy gems you remember from your childhood.

Sending us a mirror-filled single that is high on quality the whole way through, Halcyon Club is quite a sensational listen and stimulate our senses to hold ourselves to that much-needed accountability. With the bottle easy to reach and addictively consuming – seeing through the darkness and into the light-filled road ahead – is the only way to take yourself swiftly into a meaningful mindset again.

TLITBF‘ from the San Diego, California-based indie alt-rock/pop collective Halcyon Club, is such an incredibly revealing track and might be the anthem so far of 2022. We have lived in a bubble for so long that feels like a B-grade movie you wouldn’t even watch on DVD, as our minds try and break out while we find solace in things that we probably should.

Luckily through top songs like this, we may all feel a bit more comforted and can sing at the top of our lungs to get that frustration out.

Combining elements of garage rock with crunchy guitar leads and raw vocals, they began writing music with life-long friend and drummer CJ Wagner and guitarist Ryan Peeler in 2012 out of St. Louis. If You Dodge Me: Ostrava rock band Saca refuses to rest until they are found with ‘The Post’

With a highly engaging style that clutches your concentration instantly due to the mysterious undercurrents attached, Saca, brings us the story about the bearded guy with the hat who takes what he wants on ‘The Post‘.

Saca is a highly expressive 4-piece Czech indie rock band that was created in 2014. They construct a pensive blend of music that certainly fastens our mindful functions and has you pondering your own life as you see it.

A nebulous idea for the video came about in winter at the singer’s party and was typed into a phone, then forwarded to the M.T. ArtStudio director who made it into a script.” ~ Saca

Saca keep us completely engrossed the whole way throughout on a catchy track and smartly-made visuals, that takes you down that dark road and into a place that should be safe and filled with love. There is much to like about a band that is always evolving and keep us on our toes during this riveting experience.

The Post‘ from the Ostrava, Czech Republic-based indie-rock act Saca, is a haunting track and video that is so stimulating on the soul. There is much mystery here about the guy in the hat, as you feel the movie-like story unfold and wonder what shall transpire next. Performed by a band who seem to be moving only upwards as their sound improves and evolves after each track, this is a European act that is certainly one to keep an eye on.

Moving on from romantic themes they performed before, Strange and the Familiars are quite superlative on the jazzy/rock and soul filled new single ‘This Is a Test‘.

Strange and the Familiars is a 4-piece Portland, USA-based indie genre-defying band who are lead by the scintillating lead singer Stephanie Strange.

Taken off their latest 9-track album ‘Strange World‘, this is a mesmerizing effort from a band at the peak of the creative powers, with a truly ear-warming vocal experience that certainly perks your ears up like a curious kitty cat.

Combining crafted lyrics laced with dark humor, with rock and blues guitar and orchestral cello and drums, Strange leads captivated audiences from a neighborhood in NE Portland to the dreamscape and back home where humanity sits at a crossroads.” ~ Strange and the Familiars

This Is a Test‘ from the incredible Portland-based indie jazz/rock/soul outfit Strange and the Familiars, is one of those rare songs that gets your reflective mind into a whole new world of facination beyond comprehension at times. There is a real world class quality to swim into here as you go underwater, that takes your mind away from all worries. This is definately one of the more absorbing songs you will hear all year, as there is something extra special to investigate like Sherlock Holmes would.

Alex Frew and his band show growing maturity on their live version of ‘Get Out Alive‘ and this is a special listen.

This fantastic 4-piece have made such a stunning indie-rock track that impresses mightily here is 2020. The solo’s are amazing and the whole band really mesh well together. The Toronto band have so many intricate melodies and the sounds seep through into our hearts. This is a deep listen and you can see the passion here in his voice and the band backs him up perfectly.

Get Out Alive‘ from Alex Frew is all about getting out of bad situations as you need to be careful in life. Sometimes people lie and this can really affect you. They drag your clutch and really slow you down. You need to get out before it’s too late. This is a fantastic track that is of a high standard and a terrific listen. The Toronto band rock on this new single and this is a Canadian act that are set for huge things.
