Scott Gilbert Band – Breaking Me, Breaking You: Anthemic Alt Rock

Scott Gilbert Band are an Alternative Rock band like no other. They possess all of the ethereal domineering sound of the Alt Rock genre, yet their signature style is tinged with momentous melody and cacophonous fiery vocals that sets this humble 4-piece band apart from any other humdrum act on the scene.

Their style is somewhat reminiscent to the 90’s Brit Pop anthems that have never faded away with time, the band did more than assimilate tired old anthemic hits with their first release of 2018 ‘Breaking Me, Breaking You’, although the similarity to James Dean Bradfield from The Manic Street Preachers vocal range is staggering. The prowess that they pertain over their instrumentals put this Fife, Scotland based band in an element of their own, the breakdowns and guitar riffs at the end of the track prove that this band in no way belong on the underground.

If you’re looking to add some underground artists to your 90’s Alt Rock playlist, I thoroughly recommend checking out the Scott Gilbert Band on SoundCloud using the link below:
