The story of absolute despondence: ‘Sorry for Me’ by Tom Ivory is the tale of going under due to heartbreak

The song starts right away with a bang, and there is no break the whole way through. The sad story of a broken soul is described through the lens of a new school Rap artist, who keeps it real the whole way through. The love has been lost and the barreling wave of getting sucked under the foamy water, is proving too much at the moment. 21 year old Candian Rapper/Producer Tom Ivory is so honest on ‘Sorry for Me‘, and this is a worrying story of how love can crush your heart into smithereens.

The fragmented splintered soul is so fractured like a broken arm, the pain is there right in front of you and won’t go away. This is the story about how this artist is taking too many pills to mask the hurt underneath. The actual pain is actually only growing day by day, and by hiding away in the dark corner questioning everything you did, the hurt is only manifesting deep into the body and mind.

His words are so honesty portrayed and he raps with such skill, the fury of being let down is so paramount to the listener. The open wounds are far from being healed, and the beat stings the tail like a jellyfish at your leg, the blood thickens and you feel like you are going to pass out all the time.

With a wild imagination and a downward cycle of self-distraction, the tale of how love can cut you up so deep, it hurts like nothing else you have ever felt. Vancouver local Tom Ivory is quite breathless on the exuberantly produced ‘Sorry for Me‘, the warning for all that fall too hard, and can’t get up. The support of real friends and kind strangers, is the only way to step up into reality again.

Vancouver’s Sean Martin Luther Tha P releases groovy ”Come Over” Feat Lyrical Joe, D.O Gizzle, Terry Tha Rapman

You want her to come on over as this is a special woman. This is no drunken fling. This is the real deal. She makes you smile, she makes you happy and you know that this is the right woman. You can feel it in your heart and you can feel it in your fingers. This is afro-fusion Hip Hop/R&B music to get your dance on.

“Come Over” is the lead single off Sean Martin Luther Tha P’s brand new ”Pumbah Mixtape” which is dedicated to his wife and has a bunch of artist from different countries all over the world. This is a big effort and this vibe is tight with some party energy to get us dancing. “Come Over” is a good song for 2020 and we are all waiting to be allowed out again. The track is all about flirting with your ideal woman and that incredible feeling. All the artists bring their A-game and the vibe is perfect for summer.

‘Faded’ by Fellow Kids: Feel good music with a hardcore message.

Fellow Kids have a great summer hit on their hands with ‘Faded’. Their interpretation of gritty, funky rock is a young persons dreamscape. These are young pups with old souls, evidenced by the clever and thought provoking lyric and topline, floating nicely above seriously cohesive guitar chops. Vampire Weekend and Two Door Cinema come to mind very briefly at times as does throw back artists like Duran Duran and The Fine Young Cannibals. But the similarity ends there.

These guys really know their stuff and it comes across in the way they work together to create what is nothing less than magnificent and nothing short of ingenious. A deep curtsy to the lead singer who’s gravelly tone and vocal range are teaching materials for neophytes. Seems like growl, belt and falsetto are all well within this young bands remit and his vocal riffs are the cherry on top of already decadent cake. Lush!

Be warned – ‘Faded’ has a hook thats going to play in your dreams……’Don’t leave the lights on coz I’m never coming home’? Best breakup line EVA!

Ato-Mik drop new single Faithfully ft Malikai Motion: Rap and Hip-hop intertwine

Born and raised in North Vancouver, two brothers Atom and Mikey Mic joined together to create Ato-Mik, recently dropping their single ‘’Faithfully’’.

A lot of aspects of this track stand out, but the main one is without a doubt the way in which both of them sound, they both have such distinct vocals, and they’re not even in the same pitch or pace which is really interesting to listen too.

However, even though the two vocals are pretty diverse they still go side by side and intertwine perfectly. Atom has a fairly soft yet deep vocal range, when he raps it’s not too quick or slow it’s the right amount of pitch and pace. Mikey has a more high-pitched vocal, but his rap is a lot faster.

The energy you hear through this track from both of them is infectious, there’s this constant up-beat rhythm. Faithfully shows how Rap can be done in a more modernised way, Ato-Mik are bringing their revised Rap sound into 2020 and it’s going to be exciting to see what they do next after listening to this.

Chris Ho’s Folk Track ‘For Now’ Certainly Stands Out

Folk has definitely shown itself to have a strong staying power, weaving in and out of alternative and pop eras alike. These days, it’s been commercialized to a degree many would never have expected. This said, there’s still heart left to follow in so many artists. For Now is a song that comes at a height of many similar contemporaries. Chris Ho doesn’t however walk in line with the rest waiting for his due. He strides confidently with a sense of class attached to his charmingly influenced roots.

With a beat that you can walk to and a melody that knows when to peak in and when to duck out, this song is certain to inspire adventurous days in the outdoors for young people yearning to enjoy any spare moment they can find. But Chris Ho doesn’t stop at a satisfyingly cute song. There’s energy put into the guitar and the intermittent touches of strings that dance on the outskirts of the song in a microcosm of how folk has always walked parallel to so many wonderful artists and songs. This is not a song to blend in with, For Now is a song to stand out with and truly let yourself move in a positive way.
