N8’s latest single Faded is potentially the jingliest Pop hit we’ve stumbled across this year. The glitchy guitar rhythms provide the perfect up-vibe melody in the conceptually vibrant mix. The up and coming artist has a way of infusing a myriad of elements together for the ultimate blend of good-vibe beats which is shared by no other on the contemporary Pop scene. What I would have liked to hear throughout the track is a little more progression in the instrumentals, the chord progressions seemed to remain stagnant through the verse and chorus with the exception of a little extra funk thrown in curtesy of the bass. Yet, when the track draws to a close you’re treated to a soaring guitar riff that won’t leave you questioning N8’s command over a fretboard. Any fans of M83, Chvrches, Arcade Fire and LCD Soundsystem should definitely check out Faded along with the rest of the emerging artists latest releases.
