NI-RAVE earned a PhD in rhythmic anatomy with his techno anthem ‘Play Right’

With ‘Play Right’, NI-RAVE proves himself as a sonic architect capable of building euphoric tension and releasing it in ways that defy expectation. Hailing from Mumbai, NI-RAVE (Nirav Advani) has crafted a reputation for his versatility and profound understanding of techno’s rhythmic anatomy, synthesising electronic textures with an innate sense of pacing.

After cutting his teeth as an electronica artist at just 14, NI-RAVE has evolved from small, intimate events to prestigious international stages, with global releases on labels like YHV Records and Trippy Code Records.

‘Play Right’, a standout from his 3-track EP, Karma, featuring collaborations with techno heavyweight Datlow, pulses with kinetic energy. NI-RAVE’s meticulous progressions lead the listener into a sense-seducing frenzy of anticipation for the drops which he teases with tantalising precision, ensuring the build is just as exhilarating. His ability to subvert rhythmic expectations pushes the boundaries of the genre without losing its intrinsic dancefloor appeal.

The track’s hypnotic and subtly transformative textures echo NI-RAVE’s philosophy that techno offers a healing escape.  Having shared stages with artists like Stereo Express and Almost Human, NI-RAVE is shaping the rave scene’s future with his innovative touch.

Belle reworked an iconic Beats International hit for her latest EDM single, Just Be Good to Me

Pump it up to the tune of the latest slamming hit from the euphoria emissary, Belle. Her reworking of Dub Be Good to Me from the iconic act Beats International augments the earwormy grooves and feeds the mix all the staples of a seminal future house anthem.

Dancefloors won’t know what has hit them when the sonic session in bass-driven hedonist transcendence is underway; with the way that the original has been polished and anthemised to the nth degree, the Grammy-nominated Cali native ensured that the track has a place in the future of EDM. It is enough to make the original sound positively lo-fi; that will only sound like blasphemy before you’ve realised how much the Future Rave remix of Just Be Good to Me will push your speakers to the limit.

R1OT gave big beats an industrial sting with ‘Intermission’ from his debut EP

Under the influence of Robert Smith, Butch Vig, Jimmy Page, Trent Reznor and Brian Eno, the Toronto-based alt-electronica artist and musician R1OT released his debut EP, DIGITAL R1OT, in 2015 to introduce his glitchy industrial big beats to the airwaves. Any fans of Skinny Puppy will want to delve right into the entrancingly melodic standout single, Intermission.

Intermission hits midway through the EP to indulge you in a histrionically progressive rave track that keeps your rhythmic pulses captivated throughout the entire 5-minute duration. The preceding and subsequent tracks are slightly more caustic, but if you find yourself inclined to seek out the filthiest electronic basslines, you won’t be disappointed.

Johnny Paradiso – Hypermisery: Volatile in Nature, Transcendent in Tone Alt EDM

Even the concept of hypermisery is beguiling and thought-provoking. Yet, with his release “Hypermisery”, Johnny Paradiso has created a soundscape which will speak to more than your mind.

Prepare for your rhythmic pulses to be arrested by this progressive feat of experimental electronica. For their debut single, Johnny Paradiso merged elements from a myriad of styles to create a melting pot of danceable euphoria.

Once you find the groove in the mix which is volatile in nature but transcendent in tone, the entrancing essence to the soundscape is all too easy to latch onto. Any fans of ahead of the curve EDM will undoubtedly want to take the time to explore the ingenuity of this artist. He’d go down a storm in Berghain.

Caribbean Roots and Hard Dance Beats Clash in JP Backhouse’s Viral Worthy Track “OMG”

If it has been a while since you discovered an EDM artist which left you instantly obsessed with their sound, pointing you towards JP Backhouse’s latest Hard Dance mix “OMG” would lead you in exactly the right direction.

The Curacao-born artist used the influence of Caribbean and Latin Rhythms in their hard and driving mix which would melt the minds and arrest the bodies of anyone lucky enough to be on a dancefloor when it drops.

You’ll also pick up on a few borrowed elements of Hip Hop which infuses even more adrenalizing momentum into the colossal mix. OMG is pretty much the definition of aural insanity. There’s something insanely infectious about the meeting of exotic sunny rhythms and the stylistic European EDM tones. The two genres have never merged quite like this before.
