Tara Gozay – How You Be You: Unapologetically Expressive Experimental Jazz Pop

How You Be You” is the unapologetically expressive standout single from Jazz artist Tara Gozay. Her artfully bold approach to sound is sure to resonate with any fans of powerful female voices.

The track may start off as a strong offering of soulful Jazz Pop. Yet, the progressive single has an unexpected shift in tone as distorted guitars are added to the Neo-Soul-style soundscape.

The up and coming artist’s sound may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But any true aficionado of archaically-inclined Jazz Pop will definitely want Tara Gozay on their radar. There’s plenty in the pipeline for 2020. And if you follow Tara Gozay on Facebook, you’ll be able to catch one of her lockdown live shows.

Fake Tapes Proves You Don’t Need to Hide Behind Flowery Metaphors with Her Latest Single “I Think You’re an Ass”

I’m pretty sure that no one would ever come to expect a track titled “I Think You’re an Ass” to kick off with a Neo-Soul Jazz prelude. Yet up and coming recording artist Fake Tapes is apparently full of mesmerising surprises. Clearly, she doesn’t hold much restraint when it comes to saying what’s on her mind through her lyrics and track title choices and that’s just one of the reasons why her approach is so refreshing. There’s no skirting around the images and hiding behind flowery metaphors. She’s straight to the point with her stylish approach to sound. Yet, that isn’t what you’ll remember he latest single for. You’re much more likely to look back on I Think You’re an Ass and reflect on the soulful catharsis of the jazzy notes, the rich instrumental harmony and the progressive nature of the rhythmically hypnotic down-tempo single.
