The Melissa June Band has dropped Your Name

The Melissa June Band has dropped their latest single ‘Your Name’ combining their country sound into this uplifting and intriguing piece.

Starting off with the calming sound of the violin that illuminates the background and adding in the fast pace strum on the acoustic guitar as the vocals begin to seep through. The vocal ranges are incredible and the high notes are hit perfectly, nothing is out of the tune and it all combines together in such an impressive way.

Tending to reach more for the high-pitched vocal throughout, having that melodic sound to it with the soft texture that is added, flowing in and out of the classic country instrumentation to create this enjoyable and interesting to listen to piece.

A&R Factory Present: The Band Royale

The Band Royale was born out of love for big guitar riffs, an appreciation for the finer things, and a mutual obsession with science fiction. And they are able to sneak these things into their sound without scaring off the opposite sex.

Brothers Joel, Nate, and Zach Bauman grew up in the working-class town of Kalamazoo, MI, each with an immediate passion for music (passed down from their parents — their mother, a music teacher and their father, a school principal). At an early age, their shared obsessions with music, sports, and culture made the pursuit of playing in a band together an obvious choice. Once they moved to Chicago, they teamed up with Louisville, KY native Marc Najjar (also with a strong Music Education background and a love of heavy riffs and sports) to make the heaviest music they could that would inspire some serious baby-making.

A&R Factory Present: Plastic Picnic

Plastic Picnic is a Brooklyn based band comprised of four Pacific Northwest transplants. The duos – Lute and Panerio, and Hunt and Taylor – developed their styles playing in separate Seattle projects. It wasn’t until moving east that the pairs were brought together by a mutual friend.
Instantly compatible, the group shared a taste for lyrically forthright indie rock paired with driving 80’s rhythms, sweetly spun melodies and atmospheric synth and guitar work. The four piece teamed up with Producer/Engineer Ted Young (Kurt Vile, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Sonic Youth) to record their upcoming debut release—the first single being “Nausea in Paradise”.

A&R Factory Present: THØSS

THØSS is a 6ft 6” artist from Fleet, UK. A songwriter and purveyor of the DIY music mentality. Fascinated by nostalgia, THØSS looks to the old to make the new.

His debut EP ‘Benchwarmer’ will be available later this Spring with debut track IWITW being re-leased last month. In the space of the track’s short release life it managed to reach number 2 on the Spotify UK Viral Chart and number 4 on the Global Viral Chart, amassing well over 350,000 plays. It was been added to Apple Music’s “Best Of The Week” playlist and has picked up support from BBC Introducing in London.

‘The Meter‘ will be the second release off the upcoming EP – spikier than its predecessors, this track was born out of suburban staticity and THØSS’ frustration with the world for leaving him be-hind.

It will be available to buy/ listen to on all retail platforms.
