AREEN has brought in the future of EDM Pop with their single “Backoff Shut Up”

AREEN

US-based EDM artist and producer AREEN is due to drop their simply mesmeric single “Backoff Shut Up” which finds the perfect balance between driving Electronica and sticky sweet Future Pop.

The progressive pioneering ingenuity which went into Backoff Shut Up stands as a testament to their ability to construct a solid track. Not to mention their talent when it comes to piercing you with the soul projected into it.

Usually, you’d be hard-pressed to find visceral emotion within an EDM mix. Yet, with a chorus which will absolutely floor you, Backoff Shut Up is a track which you’ll struggle to forget. Even from the first verse, you’re thrown headfirst into an intensely romantic soundscape.  Warming to AREEN after hearing the track isn’t a possibility, it’s an inevitability.

You’ll have to wait a little longer before you can check out Backoff Shut Up for yourselves. But in the meantime, you can head on over to SoundCloud and check out their recent releases – they’re all gold.

So So Sun – Paradise: Progressively Smooth Synthwave Indie

Instead of jumping on an existing trend with their third single “Paradise”, Indie Dance Pop act So So Sun established one of their very own by merging atmospheric Jangle Pop Indie with smoothly danceable EDM.

It’s a sticky sweet genre mash which should go down a treat for any fans of The Midnight and similar artists leading the vanguard of contemporary Synthwave pioneers.

Expect funky acoustic basslines, shimmering nuances of euphoria to spill from the synths, and a plethora of futurism as a courtesy of the digital effects, and of course, the jangly Indie Pop progressions. With vocals which are just as soulful and progressive as the instrumentals, Paradise comes incredibly highly recommended. Especially if you like to have your finger on the pulse of exceptionally distinctive up and coming artists.

Since November – First Final Frontier: Orchestrally Piercing Indie Electro Pop

“First Final Frontier” is the latest track from Since November; the artist with the ability to compose orchestral indie melodies which will leave your stomach in knots with each subtle swell of the intricately rendered soundscape.

The Helsinki-based artist Since November consists of Tomi Mäkilä on vocals and instrumentals, and Jukka-Pekka Flander on drums & rhythm programming. Together they create a sound with mesmeric vocal capacity which rests so easily in the vibrancy of the arrangement they put down in a uniquely cinematic multi-layer mix of Indie, Pop and Electronica. Despite the amount of energy which floods through First Final Frontier, it still resonates with a cathartic concordance.

Considering that First Final Frontier was only the second single from Since November, it would be naïve to believe we’ve seen the best from the up and coming artist with First Final Frontier.

ROSABLU – Rosa Blu: Electro Pop for the Alternatively Inclined

Liverpool-based up and coming artist ROSABLU has recently dropped their latest Rosa Blu, to say that it’s infectiously catchy almost feels like an understatement. The pioneering approach to the Indie Electro Pop hit made Rosa Blu one of the most soulfully gripping digitally mastered mixes I’ve heard released this year. The lyrics may have been simplistic in the chorus, yet the vocal hooks that the track contained were viscerally binding, especially when versed through such a sonorously pensivity. There’s no praise high enough for ROSABLU, their radio ready sound has already made a promising debut – I can’t imagine that with their alchemically reverberant style their ascension to the top of the charts will take all too long.
