zeh_brah_ – STARDUST: Glitchy Experimental Hip Hop

https://soundcloud.com/zeh-brah

With glitchy Chiptune effects over contemporary Hip Hop beats, zeh_brah_’s latest single STARBURST feels like an urban offering from the future.

Producer PurpleSixBeats ensured that the bright shimmering tones in STARBURST dazzle you as much as possible while the bass creates a solid but bouncy platform for zeh_brah_’s hyped and playful Rap bars. The Atlanta-based artist has become renowned for his distinctive Rap flows in the years they’ve spent finely crafting their artform. STARBURST acts as a testament to how far they’ve come since their inception.

Tracks such as STARBURST are never going to be everyone’s cup of tea. But for anyone who appreciates their Hip Hop more on the eccentric side is sure to appreciate the expressive absurdity which lingers within the experimental mix.

Josh the Boss Rocker – Sexy Bad: Synth-Led Alt Hip Hop

Alt Hip Hop artist Josh the Boss Rocker has made their debut with the synthy urban treat “Love Bounty”. The standout single “Sexy Bad” treats you to a playfully sweet feat of glitchy Trap which comes with plenty of earworm potential.

Sexy Bad is a soundscape full of endearing charm and inventive eccentricity which should be of plenty of appeal to any fans of the Beastie Boys. Yet, with the sonic, spacey beats the up and coming artist has ensured that there’s plenty of authenticity within their sound. They may not take themselves all too seriously, but the end result of their experimentalism is seriously infectious.

Searching for any amount of Soul in Trap mixes is like searching for a needle in a haystack, but Josh the Boss Rocker more than makes up for the shortfall. Get them on your radar and liven up your playlists.

Scotton Drive – Short Loop: Ambient Instrumental Glitch Hop

If your ambient electronica playlists are sounding a little dusty, up and coming US-based experimental artist and producer Scotton Drive’s latest single “Short Loop” is sure to inject plenty of glitchy soul amongst the mix.

Technical Glitch Hip Hop beats, soulfully succinct vocals, and intricately arrestive melodies don’t often go hand in hand. And usually, experimentalism hinders accessibility, but with Short Loop, there’s a real sense that you’re listening to a soundscape constructed through immersive innovation unravelling.

Scotton Drive’s ability to play around with light and deep textures at the same time as throwing you rhythmically off-balance with glitchy breakbeats and still leave you hooked within the mix is a testament to their talent.

You can check out Scotton Drive’s latest track which was released on November 11th for yourselves by heading over to Bandcamp now.
