Obsidian Cane & Gizella Eased the Friction of a Wearied Reality with Their Soul-Fuelled Electro Release, Crazy World

Crazy World saw producer Obsidian Cane and vocalist Gizella join forces once again through unflinching determination to better the world through sound. As we become wearied by the weight of the world, it can almost feel impossible to find a guilt-free reprieve, but that is exactly what you will find in the soul-infused electro anthem. With vocals tempering the frenetic pulse of the breakbeats which feed drum n bass rhythms into the leftfield tropical house atmosphere, there’s no denying that the symbiotic collaborators orchestrated a hit as authentic as their creative connection. As your rhythmic pulses get rhythmically delivered shots of adrenaline, your mind won’t escape the catharsis of knowing that there are others out there praying for peace to stand in place of the lack of humanity and friction which gets more corrosive day by day.

As one of London’s most boundaryless beatmakers, Obsidian Cane – whose career has spanned producing for major label acts and scoring for British TV – has never bowed to formula. With Crazy World, he once again rewrites the rules. After producing for Gotcha! Records, Gizella earned her stripes as a vocal chameleon, traversing the UK Garage and Drum n Bass scenes with her singular range and emotive command. Their latest release expands their sonic synergy and marks them as artists unafraid to make their art mean something in the age of desensitisation.

Crazy World is now available to stream on all major platforms, including Spotify.

Revel in the petrichor of Shaun Cruda’s electro-soul synthesis, Ashville Rain

Shaun Cruda’s 20k monthly Spotify listeners got a brand-new stylistic soundscape to savour when the LA producer delivered his latest sensuously cathartic single, Ashville Rain, on September 22.

As the dark days creep in, the sanctuary of ethereal luxe atmosphere in Ashville Rain will only become more inviting. By borrowing a few trip-hop elements from the pioneers and modernising them in his synthesis of electro-soul, there are few better singles to revel in the petrichor with.

The instrumentals resound beyond their minimalist quiescence to deliver the ultimate playlist staple for nocturnal introspection while the vocals breed a beguiling sense of intimacy as they harmonise the lyricism that narrates a spectral love letter. Familiar, yet far beyond the bars set by his contemporaries, the single is a testament to the multi-faceted talents of the artist who can pen a track as well as he can polish it and move a dancefloor from behind a DJ booth.

Stream Ashville Rain on Spotify now.

Rya welcomed in a dreamy new era of electro-soul with his latest single, SHOW OFF.

With his latest single, SHOW OFF., the trailblazing emissary of soul, Rya, wrapped the roots of RnB around modernist electronic dream pop tones and created a solid backbeat by infusing the track with rhythmically tight hip-hop nuances.

Rather than attempting to be everybody’s cup of tea, the London-based electro-soul singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer chose to take the visionary path to explore his experimental sound and create escapist worlds that you won’t need inviting to twice.

The emotion implanted into his singles may be raw, but by staying true to his distinctive production style, which melds jazz, R&B, and neo-soul tendencies, he always delivers ear candy sweet enough to give you a sugar rush.

SHOW OFF. Will hit the airwaves on the 25th of August. Hear it on SoundCloud first.

Val Maugenest – Know Better: The Cathartically Captivating Future of Electro Soul

“Know Better” is the latest ambiently resounding Electronic Soul single from Val Maugenest. In recent years, the Netherlands born and London, UK based artist hasn’t failed to captivate audiences with her eclectically experimental style when it comes to orchestrating soulfully immersive soundscapes.

The first thing that will hit you with Know Better is the mesmeric capacity of Val Maugenest’s vocals, her lucidly ambient yet tonally veracious style spills waves of catharsis into the already transient composition. The full-bodied arrangement provides layer upon layer of harmony, whilst plenty of momentum builds through the intricacy brought by the synth. What more could you possibly ask for from an artist?

You can check out Know Better from the 9th November for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud, in the meantime, you can soak up the tantalising melodies from the up and coming artist’s earlier singles
