Chasing Moonlight

A&R Factory Present: Chasing Moonlight

Ten years ago a band like Chasing Moonlight couldn’t have existed. The alternative pop/rock duo encapsulates everything about making music in the age of self-producing & genre mashing. Working day & night, they built up their own studios—becoming producers, engineers & designers on their own. Using infinite colors from their creative palette, they have carved out their own genre—optimistic fuzz—an anthemic pop rock sound with hints of hip-hop & dubstep. From drums lines, crowd screams, distorted synths & passionate vocals—their sound is as if a piano has fallen down a technicolor staircase, leaving it off-kilter yet a bit more human.

The band is a meeting of two universes—Zeke Hunter & Brett Steinberg, both award winning artists who’ve been featured on radio, such as The Howard Stern Show, KISS 95.7 (iHeart Radio), Sirius XM, Hot 103.9 “Freshly Squeezed” & 104.1 WMRQ, & featured on national publications, such as PureVolume, Popdust & HYPEFRESH. Their differences paradoxically complement each other & their music reflects their essence, yet of a side they’ve never seen before. Hunter & Steinberg have always been attracted to collaboration with one another starting with the first time they met 10 years ago—immediately starting a project with a massive debut in Brooklyn the following week.

As artists who have delved into many different music, film & stage projects, they have a hunger to create lasting, boundary-pushing art. The only compass they use to guide them through new sonic territory is the pursuit of creating unique sounds with emotional resonance. Their music tells a deeply personal story that has the tenderness to get you through the darkest nights, but the drive to cut through the noise of our generation—can you hear it?
