Brand new single “Wicked Fever” by JONAH

Watch the ethereal video for JONAH’s “Wicked Fever“. A love story between two very different worlds. A young woman, skates the urban canyons of Hong Kong, as her mind drifts to someone out of her reach. Almost like a wicked, feverish dream.

With their brand new single “ Wicked Fever Angelo Mammone (vocals) and Christian Steenken (guitar) seamlessly cement the success of their breakthrough hit All We Are .” “Wicked Fever” is a road trip through the ins and outs of JONAH’s imagination, the ups and downs of their hearts. A dreamy, cerebral drift, the song keeps us on the brink with an urgent sense that something extraordinary is about to happen. Delve into this visceral soundtrack, composed and brought to life in the remote and wildly romantic landscape of Fuerteventura.

“The song is like that moment before a summer storm,” says front man Angelo Mammone, “when the air is aquiver with anticipation.”

Director André Lewski explains filming: “We flew to Hong Kong on Christmas Eve to start our four-day-hunt for the perfect canvas to our picture. It was also the first time we met our protagonists: Yoonji Seo and her longboard came from South Korea, and Thomasz had already been in town working as a model. We took a cab to aimlessly wander through the city. We kept our eyes open and whenever someone of us had the feeling that a place would be good for the video, we stopped, got out of the car and started shooting.

Everything happened so fast, effortless and instinctive. It felt as if the video was shooting itself and the city of Hong Kong was the director. We feel that the vibe of “Wicked Fever” was perfectly captured by the streets, the actors and the night. It’s all a wicked feverish dream, the vision is noisy, the time is distorted but the feelings are pure and genuine.”

A&R Factory Present: BATTS

BATTS aka Melbourne based Tanya Batt is back with her new single For Now . Bringing with it a new sound, a new creative direction and a new found love for music again. Moving away from the electronic world and getting back to her roots, BATTS presents you with a heartfelt journey through what feels like space.

Inspired by the roots of her favourite artists such as Mazzy Star, Bon Iver, Daughter, M83 and more. It falls back to the singer-songwriter inspired bed, mixed with her obsession of space and creating songs to make the listener feel they are travelling through outer space. For Now is a song about missing a loved one and it explores a mixture of genres creating a spacey dream folk pop.

BATTS has had a great start to her career with regular support from BBC Introducing, triple j, triple j unearthed, BBC Radio 1 and many more radio stations worldwide. Clocking millions of plays collectively online and playing shows live, supporting the likes of Australian favourites I Know Leopard, Elizabeth Rose, Flamingo, Lastlings and ending 2016 playing NYE On The Hill Festival alongside Tash Sultana, The Preatures and more.

A&R Factory Present: Ross Nicol

Hailing from San Diego, multi-talented musician Ross Nicol has been actively at work in Nashville this past year. A classically-trained guitarist who began writing music at 14, Nicol has created a musical style that solidifies his place in the alternative spectrum.

Inspired by the creative story-telling and musical arrangements of Radiohead and Vampire Weekend, while drawing influence from David Bowie and The Beatles, Nicol fuses the analog sounds of the past with a modern, alternative twist. Under the guidance and label imprint of producer Jason Hill (Louis XIV, The Killers), Nicol has two huge releases planned for the year: an EP due for the end of May and a full-length album set for later this summer.

He is in good company, working with the creative minds behind Alabama Shakes, MGMT and Of Montreal, so we are confident this will be a successful summer for the new artist.
