FORGET ABOUT IT pulled punk to the brink in YELLOW MAJESTY’s scuzzy industrial spiral

YELLOW MAJESTY synthesised whiplashingly visceral hypersonic alt-indie punk in FORGET ABOUT IT, the freshly dropped single and video that tears into the psyche like it’s owed something. If Atari Teenage Riot corrupted garage rock, you’d get something in the orbit of this unhinged eruption. Yellow Majesty has got garage punk’s scuzzy refusal to bathe sound in gloss, the mechanised mania of industrial punk, and a beat-driven frenzy fit for fans of Kill Your Boyfriend and THE DSM IV.

Juggernautical rhythms pummel through a carousel of distorted synths, fractured refrains, and mangled emotion. Through the shrieking oscillations and refracted vocals, there’s a primal submission to feeling everything all at once. The lyrics rotoscope through desperation, humiliation, and the thorny edges of quasi-requited affection. It’s the most twisted, nihilistic love song you’ll hear this year, and maybe the truest too.

In the recently released music video, YELLOW MAJESTY reveals himself as an antagonist of art who would sell his soul to pull the threads of their themes out fully. Everything about FORGET ABOUT IT is built to torment convention. It’s all guts and groove, contempt and confession, fed into a brutalist machine of sound.

Written and performed by Amir Haj-Bolouri, co-produced by Aaron Rubin, and mastered by Maor Appelbaum, the track marks another raw injection of volatile vitality into the Gothenburg-based artist and professor, known under his musical moniker, Yellow Majesty canon. The video, co-created by Nicklas Lärka, pushes the visceral weight of the track into an audiovisual sensory overload you’ll need to shake off afterwards.

FORGET ABOUT IT is now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify.

The Ultimate Temptation: Sweden’s Yellow Majesty brings us a true warning of gluttony with ‘Honey Sweet’

Featuring a music video that will make you smile and also have you nodding your head with its honesty, Yellow Majesty showcases his excellent audio visual talents with ‘Honey Sweet‘.

Yellow Majesty is an audio-visual music project from Amir Haj-Bolouri. who is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, and lyricist, who blends in the comedy with the strikingly real.

”Drawn from influences within the rock genre, our sonic landscape builds on a textured outfit of haunting melodies, obscure and suggestive lyrics, versatile guitar playing, heavy bass, dark synthesizers, and punchy drumming”.- Yellow Majesty

The quick-fire vocals has you fascinated quickly, as you bob your head to the beat that captures your mind into a frenzy, with all the images of unnecessary gluttony going on that seems to consume the mind of so many, as they get tricked into eating rubbish food that makes you even hungrier.

Honey Sweet‘ from Swedish multi-talented Yellow Majesty, grabs your hand and leads you into the world that has been created, with food and temptation everywhere in this world that has so many distracting adverts everywhere. He brings an honest portrayal to remind us all that being smart about what enters your body, only serves to help you long term, before you get swallowed up by the sugar rush that ultimately wins if you let it.
