When a Pop track can sound fierce and sweet at the same time; it becomes pretty evident that the songstress has some standout style – even in today’s overcrowded market. The beat is firmly rooted within the contemporary Pop genre, yet Wilhelmina has proven with her latest single which was released May 2018 that she’s anything but generic. Despite the production styling there is absolutely nothing plastic about this track. Her organically demure vocal ability has a slight reminiscence to Lady Gaga, but it’s safe to say the up and coming artist has a style that isn’t shared by many.
Lyrics don’t get much more empowering than in Flashback, the track deals with those hellish post-breakup struggles which strips away your sanity. The lyricism goes hand in hand with the pumped up EDM Pop beat which constantly mixes up in momentum with some of the hottest drops and breakdown’s I’ve heard from a Pop anthem this year. It was about time for some talent to be added to the Pop pool with her passion and talent Wilhelmina is more than capable of shaking up the scene.
