Vogue Villains – Glad: Alchemically Potent Alt Rock

“Glad” is the upcoming track from Vogue Villains; the Alt Rock outfit which left us instantly enamoured by their magnetic approach to the genre. Kicking off the track with an archaic Public Service Announcement was the perfect way to introduce the captivating chaos of the single. But perhaps what will hit you the hardest about Vogue Villains’ latest single is the striking reminiscence between Andrew Baskin’s vocals and Against Me’s vocalist. I won’t lie, I had to double check that they hadn’t featured in a new band. That’s not to say that Vogue Villain’s are a band born to assimilate another, the Canadian-based powerhouse have plenty of distinctive elements to their sound. If you could imagine the soundscapes of Queens of the Stone Age and Mr Bungle, you’d get a pretty good idea at the pioneering work of alchemy which Vogue Villains have cooked up with Glad which is just one of the singles to feature on their latest 6-track release “HAPPY.” But you’re really going to have to discover the hype for yourselves with this band!

You can check out Glad for yourselves along with the rest of their latest release by heading over to their official website now.
