Victims of the New Math – The Gift: Bittersweet Blues

Victims of The New Math, are a uniquely spectacular musical duo from Phoenix, Arizona who have collaborated to make one of the most expressive Old Country sounds that I’ve heard to date. The track comes off their latest debut album The New Victorians which is quite simply a Lo-fi masterpiece that will take you back in time. The resonant lyrics and resonant guitars are enough to earn this band a place in history with their influences.

‘The Gift’ was written based on a relationship gone wrong, we’ve all been there, yet Victims of the New Math wrote a pretty genius song about it, laced with anthemic infectious guitars to make the duo somewhat resistant to New Wave band Half Man Half Biscuit, just with more of a Country edge.
