Well, there are enough Pop songs about being in love, so it’s about time that an artist was considerate enough to create a track for those that may not be smugly paired up. Tyler Morrison’s latest single Not in Love was the perfect aural offering of female empowerment. Within Not in Love Tyler Morrison offers no apology for her emotion or expression as she soulfully verses the lyrics that almost certainly contain a piece of her soul.
The peaceful piano melody to Not in Love creates the perfect platform for Tyler to lay down her vocals, creating an overwhelming amount of resonance which carries through right from the prelude to the fade out. Along the way, the single picks up a reverberant amount of momentum that you can’t help but be caught up amongst. The progressive nature of the track plays havoc with your emotions; you start from a sweet rendition to a vocal offering that would leave artists such as Kelly Clarkson audibly quaking.
