Three Streets – Toby: Indulgently Angsty Indie Rock Catharsis

There’s no waiting around for the hook in the latest single “Toby” from up and coming Indie Rock artist Three Streets. Straight from the first few notes, the soundscape drips with a captivating slightly ominous energy.

After hearing the release, I’m fairly certain that any fans of Interpol and the Editors won’t want to hang around in putting Three Streets on their radar. The atmospheric elements of Post Punk feed into a high-octane and angular instrumental arrangement which treats you to plenty of indulgent Indie Rock swagger.

But what made Toby an unforgettable track has the infectious nature of the chorus which practically bleeds euphoria. I mean what could be possibly better than a repetition of telling someone they’ve fucked it up?! I feel like I’ve hit the angsty catharsis goldmine with Toby.

Whoever Toby is, I’m glad he pissed off Three Streets and inspired this absolute gem of a hit.
