Things That Need To Be Fixed cooked up an unpredictably progressive smorgasbord of sound with the standout track “Breaking Barriers” from their latest album “Neverest”.
Even though it felt like every Alternative genre got thrown into the mix, Breaking Barriers as a seamlessly indulgent mix in which you can find elements of Pop Punk, Nu Metal, Heavy Metal, and a nice serving of Glitch Rock. While the choruses are hyped and melodic, the bridges carry plenty of extra bite, yet the potent energy which has been fed into them make the choruses even sweeter when they break. Breaking Barriers makes Enter Shikari’s music seem a little flat by comparison.
