For any fans of the 00’s Pop Rock sound, you’re going to be in absolute heaven with the Stereophones latest single. Whilst I usually refrain from branding a band as Emo the cap definitely fits when it comes to the band’s anthemically punch Pop Rock track Shot Down.
Their Lo Fi Art Rock approach to putting their sound together allows the Stereophones to stand out from the rest. You don’t happen across choruses as catchy as the one to Shot Down all too often, by the second run through you practically have no choice but to satisfy the desire of joining in. Although let’s address the elephant in the room here, yes, their name does seem dangerously similar to the Stereophonics, but I can assure you, the Stereophonics are long past creating contemporarily bouncing Pop Rock anthems such as contained in The Stereophones latest hit single.
