The Sea, The Sea – Fantom: Indulgently Atmospheric Electro Pop

Whilst the Liverpool-based Space Pop trio may have only formed earlier this year, the decadently haunting soundscapes which they’ve cooked up with their first EP “Fantom” oozes synergetic maturity.

Whilst each of the six tracks are as magnetically mesmeric as the last, the title track is the perfect introduction to their indulgently atmospheric sound.  The instrumentals carry the same lucid reverb-drenched allure which you’d expect from any self-respecting Shoegaze outfit. Yet to compare what The Sea, The Sea have created with their inventive approach to any other artist would only serve as an insult to their ingenuity. The unfalteringly sweet female vocals which rest perfectly above the lush instrumental arrangements draw you further into the sticky-sweet pensive hypnotism of Fantom.
