“Alone” is the impossibly smooth R&B Hip Hop track from up and coming artist TaPrice who hasn’t been afraid to step out from behind the usual bravado which regularly seeps into R&B. Instead, TaPrice offers an exposing lyrically driven single which offers ambience, catharsis, and connection with an ultimately mesmerising effect. It is only when Alone gently fades out that you come to realise how deeply immersed you’ve become in the soundscape.
While the airwaves may be in no short supply of breaking R&B artists, artists with the ability to write a track as poignant and resonant as Alone are harder to come by. The flawlessly polished production gives the single a radio-ready feel, debut singles don’t come much more promising than Alone. It’s impossible not to get excited about the prospect of what comes next from TaPrice.
