Future-pop fuses with Britpop in Footless Kicks’ debut single, E1 2AM

In the ultimate pop-rock crossover, London-based rock guitarist, producer and songwriter, Footless Kicks sent us back to the Britpop era with his debut single, E1 2AM. The devilishly clever single carries the same blissful tones as the Roses along with the driving momentum of JBD’s anthemically charged riffs in The Manic’s most soul-sating hits. Vocally, Footless Kicks truly came into his own. The solo artist’s gruffly soulful vocal timbre is complemented by the dynamic range of the guest female vocalist whose dreamy harmonies sit between Mazzy Star and My Bloody Valentine.

With more singles in the pipeline and the teasing of an album, any alt-90s fan will want Footless Kicks on their radar.

UK singer-songwriter Hannyta has released her spirited folky synth-pop single, Wildflower.

UK-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Hannyta attracted a loyal fan following with her spellbindingly unique covers of singles such as Fight Song and Jar of Hearts. Her debut original single, Wildflower, proves that when she’s bringing life to products of her orchestration, even more visceral, spiritual alchemy breathes. The moody synth-pop stylings, Hannyta’s almost arcanely soulful vocals and the folkish elements create a brand-new brand of entrancing electro-pop.

Not only does Hannyta boast authenticity, but she also boasts the ability to make that authenticity infectious from the first hit. Hit play, and you will greet your new perennial pop earworm. How she has such a refined style at the age of seventeen is quite frankly beyond us. We can’t wait to hear what she has in store for her sophomore release.

Bow explores the nuances of intimacy in her sticky sweet pop hit, Tun Me On.

It tells you all you need to know about the South Coast, UK-based singer-songwriter Bow, that she was able to breathe innocence into a pop track titled, Turn Me On.

Rather than creating a provocative track, she layered plenty of soul into the atmospheric radio-ready electro-pop hit by running through the nuances of intimacy that many artists evade while penning the obvious and the salacious. Sonically, hints of 80s synthpop feed in around the jangly indie-pop guitars and the euphoria-breeding drops.

At the age of just 17-years-old, Bow’s already viral-worthy sound is ensuring that it won’t be long until she’s world-renown if she keeps on creating hits as sweet and infectious as Turn Me On.

Kyle Byrne sets the pace in his chilled tropic pop single, Chase, featuring Schmorgle.

For his latest release, the UK-based artist and producer, Kyle Byrne, teamed up with Shmorgle to offer chilled tropic vibes, sweet harmonic pop vocals and melodic hooks that won’t fail to pull you into the centre of the soulfully orchestrated hit that works its way through façade-less romanticism.

Life gave James Sebastian lemons, and he made Lemon Sunshine.

60s psych-pop and 70s rock collide in the latest single to be released by the Exeter-based newcomer James Sebastian. ‘Lemon Sunshine’ is a stridently impassioned single that is viscerally flooded with raw vocal emotion but the dreamy vintage tones of the consistently ascending instrumentals take all of the sting out of the vocal defiance.

If you can imagine the point where the Beatles and the Stone Roses meet in the middle, you’ll get an idea of the kind of refreshing nostalgia James Sebastian is serving here. Lyrically, Sebastian delivered the ultimate post-breakup track that captures that bitter-sweet moment when you’re reminded of your own power and make no bones about taking it back.

The trailblazing urban pop duo monikered Rara Loud have made an anthemic comeback with their bass-dubbed, orchestrally infused hit, Forever Love.

The British duo consistently strives for authenticity; through Forever Love, they discernibly delivered. Their floor-filler consistently twists and turns around the progressive bass lines while their contrastingly magnetic personalities flood the mix with high vibes that are nothing short of infectious. Sensual Summer Reggae-Pop Vibes: Prymaal – Naughty Girl

Based on his latest single, Naughty Girl, Nigerian-born UK-based breaking artist Prymaal has returned to the music scene as a triple threat; his soulfully imploring vocals, playful lyrical approach and tropically blissful reggae-pop beats combine to create sensual summer vibes that won’t fail to serenade.

It really wouldn’t be a surprise if women are as quick to identify with the protagonist in Naughty Woman as they were to identify with Margot Robbie’s depiction of Harley Quinn. It’s an infectiously up-vibe track; you couldn’t ask for a sweeter summer pop hit.

Constellation Prize bring the grooves in their bassy electro-pop hit, Chase That High.

UK-based dance-pop duo Constellation Prize is set to drop their most euphoric release to date, Chase That High; the endlessly energetic anthem will seal a spot on your summer pop playlists before the hooky chorus even hits.

With slightly filthier basslines than you would expect from your average future pop track, Chase That High is adrenalizing from start to finish. Perhaps most notably, the artist brings serious swathes of style to the high-vibe pop anthem. All too often, feel-good tracks fall into the trite and cliché trap, but Constellation Prize is nothing if not refreshing and organic in their electro-pop style that modernises 80s – 00s dance-pop grooves.

Amber Prothero shares the secrets to sass with her vibrant soul-pop track, ‘Confident’.

UK-based pop artist Amber Prothero always takes an emotionally multifaceted approach to her lyricism; the best introduction to her confessional lyrical style is her latest single, Confident.

It’s practically a 101 guide on how to exude as much confidence as you will hear in the vibrant pop hit. Prothero’s soulful RnB-tinged vocals will throw you back to the 90s era of pop. While lyrically, you can expect the same introspective grit as found in a track by Lily Allen, Kate Nash or Marina and the Diamonds. The single was created over Zoom in collaboration with the Parisian songwriter and musician Ny Aina Ramangasalama.

With her former releases, Prothero became a BBC Introducing playlist staple; we are sure that Confident will allow her to work her way onto even more A-lists.

T.I.G.Y. have made an ethereal ambient dream-pop debut with ‘Only Way to Let the Light In’

The UK alt-pop duo T.I.G.Y. have released their ethereal dream pop debut single, Only Way to Let the Light In; the timely release utilises meta poetry to spark a connection amongst listeners battle-scarred by depression and anxiety.

It is singles like this that highlight the trite nature of archetypal-feel good pop that mostly just over faces and alienates the serotonin-deprived. With elements of shoegaze and art-rock weaved into the release that outros on a steady heartbeat, the instrumentals match the consoling nature of the vocals. The steady downbeat rhythms entwine with your rhythmic pulses as Only Way to Let the Light In unfolds; allowing the succinct crescendos to lift you as they tonally soar.

T.I.G.Y.’s moniker came from a diary that had been passed down through Bailey’s family. Since their inception, they have written a collection of songs that became an expression of those diary entries. Only Way to Let the Light In is the first single to be released from their collection of songs that will periodically follow the diary entries.
