Ninali took us to Tokyo in her synaesthesia-inducing hyper-pop comeback

Feel the neon glow of Tokyo in Ninali’s synaesthesia-inducing slice of hyper pop, which lit up the airwaves on November 11th. After squeezing inspiration from her trips across the world, Ninali has made a comeback after her wanderlust hiatus. Now residing in Spain to focus on her music career and to study music production, she’s projecting her sultry vocal timbre into her jazzy feats of RnB pop to share the exotic flavours she sampled.
Ninali made her first venture into the music industry aged 18 when she took Belgium by storm with her single, Lovedrunk, which scored her an indie record deal, national airplay and a spot on a compilation album curated by one of the biggest Belgian radio stations. With her sophomore single, she reached number 34 in the Belgian Ultratip charts and secured plenty of live dates. We’re stoked to have her demure soul and uplifting sound vivifying the UK music industry for the first time. She’s certainly not one to sleep on, especially if you are partial to serotonin spilling across your synapses.

shoegazer brings in the future of bass house with his latest single, ‘Modest Revolt’.

shoegazer

Tokyo-based music producer shoegazer’s eclectic style fuses ethereal ambience and unbridled energy with aggressively caustic textures to deliver a multifaceted sound that is only synonymous with his moniker.

His latest release, Modest Revolt, is a progressively electrifying hit that doesn’t discriminate on the genres under the EDM umbrella it draws from. With euphoric bass house-style drops and glitchy increments of dub house, Modest Revolt is an aural force to be reckoned with.

Many artists may have started to take the multi-genre approach, but very few can seamlessly meld the contrasting textures and make a hit that would make a dancefloor writhe like shoegazer can.

Modest Revolt is due for release on July 16th; check out shoegazer on Soundcloud.

Alt RnB Pop artist Srujanika has made her debut with ‘Rags to Riches’

Srujanika

Tokyo-based singer-songwriter Srujanika has made her 2020 debut with the Alt R n’ B Pop single ‘Rags to Riches’ which squirms free from the constraints of archetypal R n’ B and runs through in a truly authentic style.

The self-proclaimed Queen of Darkness poured plenty of moody alchemy into the track which was penned to revere anyone who has succeeded in the quest for success, despite adversity. In a society where the rich, powerful and famous are mindlessly applauded, Srujanika offers a nuanced view that success lies in the journey.

Her unapologetically bold style may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Rags to Riches poured straight out of the soul to suit acquired tastes and people who don’t mind raw and direct intimacy in their tracks.

Rags to Riches which was released on December 15th is now available to stream and download via Bandcamp.

Mike Turpin has dropped their arcanely resolving Alt Indie Pop single “Shine”

https://soundcloud.com/miketurpinmusic/shine-mike-turpin

Well, God damn. If Tokyo-based artist Mike Turpin’s single “Shine” was any more arcanely resolving, I fear that I may never come back down from the high that the aural alchemy left me with.

It’s sensual, it’s sweet, it’s artful, it’s everything that you could possibly expect from a modern Indie Pop record. With twangs of Alt Folk along with similarities to the likes of the 1975, Shine is an indulgently mesmeric release which practically drips with celestial soul. The tear-inducingly compelling vocals are perfectly paired to the striking instrumentals which swim amongst almost haunting reverb.

There are very few ways to accurately allude to how enticing the atmosphere behind the experimental release is. Get it in your ears instead.

You can check out Shine for yourselves via SoundCloud or Spotify.
