Skyqru delivered the permission to ‘Let Go’ in their latest mellow trap hit.

The LA/Vegas alt-hip hop collective, Skyqru, formed during the most uncertain months of the pandemic in 2020 to uplift the world while locking horns with socio-political issues and breaking the stigma of personal issues.

After the success of their debut album, Pollution, they’ve dropped their single, Let Go, which is well on its way to going viral with over 33k streams on Spotify alone since the recent release. The mellow indie trap track takes a compassionate approach to unshackle you from things that no longer serve you. Skyqru truly is the Elliott Smith of hip hop with their soft melodies, ethereal atmosphere and raw lyricism.

It is always perceptible how much artists throw themselves into their music; you’d be hard-pressed to find other rap artists that personally and honestly invest so heavily in their craft. It is no surprise that their sound is garnering so much attention.

As they forge their talents together to make captivating music together of a quality standard, SKYQRU keep the mood alive with their new single called ‘No Puff’ (Prod. Origami).

SKYQRU is a new three-piece rap/hyper-pop group from who are LA-based Sky-Gloomy, Kid Negus from Chicago, Illinois and Sleepy Ricky who is originally from Kunming City in Southwest China.

After meeting at school a few years ago, the three friends decided that their music tastes aligned and decided to form a music act that kept things fresh — as they make a brand of music that captures your attention mightily — with its vibrant electricity that sparks into life.

This is the story of kicking it with the good people around that like to roll into the trees together, as the times are chilled and you just want to be with humans that truly get you. You desire love too of course and know what you want, but are willing to slow things down so you can get the right mixture that will have you in that optimal high, with only happy times ahead.

‘No Puff‘ (Prod. Origami) from LA-based three-piece hip-hop/hyper-pop crew SKYQRU, is the cheat code song that sparks into the future of the sound that is such a catchy listen. They light up the mood with a track that sends your heart into a ride, and keeps you looking ahead to all the exciting possibilities ahead.
