There aren’t many Indie artists around on the radio waves offering cathartically transient soundscapes, which was why I was in absolute heaven with RaceYouAnytime’s latest single Coming Home to You. There’s an almost Shoegaze tonality to the track thanks to the sweet reverb that floated above the chord progressions on the guitar. Yet, the up and coming artist weaved electronic effect into the mix to take his sound to another level of lucidity.
After listening to Coming Home to You, it was easy to come to the conclusion that the humble artist’s ambient sound could easily be compared to the likes of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine. Yet, it’s the punchy Indie Pop melodies and catchy guitar hooks that made RaceYouAnytime a stellar production, packed full of essence which is only amplified by the dulcet reticent vocals and lyricism.
You can check out RaceYouAnytime’s latest single Coming Home to You via SoundCloud now. For me, it was impossible to stop with just one track from the artist’s newly released album, each of the ten tracks were as beguiling and rapturously sweet as the last.
