As accolades go… being voted ‘Best Emerging International Artist’ at Toronto’s Indie Week 2017, is not a bad one to have! Single By Sunday spent most of 2017 building their fan base, working on their sound and ultimately honing their live performance. Not wishing to be pigeonholed, as ‘just another pop band’ they are defining their own genre; melodic pop punk, fuelled with their usual catchy hooks, lead riffs and fun filled live energy that makes them a draw at any show.
The band began 2017 with a headline show on the mainstage at the O2 ABC in Glasgow, this was followed by a respectable 16 festival appearances, including, Carfest North & South, Belladrum, Camden Rocks and Sunflower Fest (Northern Ireland) to name a few. A total of 40 live shows throughout the year has meant countless hours on the road going from one end of the country to the other in an effort to widen their fan base and prove that they are prepared to put in the work.

Top 5 Reverbnation Artists – December 2017

1. Maya Claridge is an actress, singer and songwriter from Denver, Colorado. Currently represented by Big Fish Talent, The Wayne Agency and managed by WTManagement, Claridge has film, television, commercial, studio and stage credits. Releasing her hit single, PUT IT DOWN, with Indasoul Records in January 2016, Claridge proved that the message behind her music is as powerful as her voice. Currently staring in a television series (Drama Queens) Claridge balances working locally in NY and in LA, with online schooling and touring.

2. Just occasionally, fact can be stranger than fiction. Salio, a singer songwriter from Tbilisi, Georgia boasts a rags to riches story more flat-out compelling than most. A remarkably gifted vocalist, she was born into a life of abject poverty, routinely having to go without food, hot water or electricity. Her YouTube channel has hundreds of thousands of hits already, and she is currently in the final stages of recording her album, which will be released later in the year. Some people were simply born to do this. Salio was, and now she is.

3. The week of its release, The Eiffels debut EP was the 15th most added record on U.S. college radio. They’ve since received support from major radio stations from Los Angeles’ KROQ and KLOS, to San Diego’s 91X and Z90. After an ambitious United States tour, continuous buzz, and seeing their music featured in hit television shows like MTV’s Are You The One?, and The Only Way is Essex, The Eiffels are ready to release their new EP, complete with the same diabolically catchy hooks and an even bigger sound.

4. Jett Prescott is a self-taught singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a vibe fans and media publications have described as “Elton John meets John Lennon” thanks to his unique vocal tone and heavy piano-rock influence. His latest self-titled EP sees worldwide rotation on Pandora, while “Put Me Down in Wine” has received radio airplay from coast to coast with high praise from SongOfTheYear.com and a music video on VEVO. Music mega-site ReverbNation featured Jett on the homepage after peaking at #5 on the LA charts before he actually moved there, which followed Jett’s #2 listing among the top 25 new original artists of the year by Music Connection Magazine.

5. Alex Angelo is a singer, DJ and dancer from Ohio. He started mixing at age 10 using his dad’s ipad. Alex’s family moved and he needed to sell a skateboard ramp that couldn’t make the move. He took that money and bought some used DJ equipment that allowed him to take his new hobby from the iPad to the Technics 1200s. Within a couple years, Alex has opened up for several musical artists including Justin Bieber, Pitbull, Carly Rae Jepsen, Austin Mahone, Hoodie Allen, Jake Miller, and more.

A&R Factory’s Top 5 ReverbNation Tracks – September 2017

Since The Upset Victory first emerged from Cincinnati, their uptempo, high energy brand of alt pop has resonated with a faithful following. The quintet show no signs of slowing down… “Don’t Give Up the Night” has a spunky, dance punk vibe that recalls some of the strong characteristics of Panic! At the Disco, yet retains their unique flair and remains faithful to the sound they’ve carved out over the years. It’s a reenergized and triumphant return for the band.

ZØYA is an independent recording artist, singer-songwriter, musician and storyteller based in Los Angeles, CA. Her raspy, pure, emotional vocals along with unique and spunky presence on stage will wake you up if you’re asleep and surely will grab your attention right away. The largest part of her music is about struggles that she was going through in her life, especially during her teenage years. Her songs are for those who need encouragement or a positive vibe throughout their day.

South Carolina based indie folk/Americana duo Jeremy Dunham and Kerrine Gifford doubled down and dubbed themselves “Sweet Sweet” to describe the fresh and inviting way they blend the elegance and mood of her cello with the rustic roots of his acoustic guitar. Those sounds, combined with foot driven percussion textures that range from gentle to raucous, are the foundation behind the singer-songwriters’ gorgeous lead and harmony vocals – and simple yet emotionally hard hitting songs filled with heartfelt tales and whimsical Southern Charm. The two capture their innate chemistry perfectly in the two word title of their debut EP In Tandem.

Since their inception, Ships Have Sailed have always struck a balance between exuberant pop and substantial alternative rock. Their 2014 debut EP Someday was essentially a soft launch for the band that picked up traction organically; receiving heavy airplay on College, NPR and Commercial radio in the US and Canada. Later that year the band toured the Northeastern US and, in 2015, performed showcases at SXSW, CMJ Music Marathon, Canadian Music Week & NAMM. They also took home accolades from ISC, Unsigned Only and The John Lennon Songwriting Competition.

Wild Sons sparked when 4 close friends with similar goals and interests began creating music as a single unit. After experimenting with diverse musical backgrounds, the band has generated a fun, fresh indie pop rock sound that describes their friendships and life experiences and plays on living fearless and young.
