London’s The Curious fly sky high with daydreaming single about love: ‘’Always Want More’’

‘The Curious’ are a 4 Piece ALT Indie band from London on the rise with their positive lyrics and terrifically produced music- this is a professional outfit.

You can see the band are influenced by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Marr, Blink 182, Arctic Monkeys and more. Their music is pure and likeable. Known for 2017’s breakout hit ‘’City Lights’’, the band are in top form here.

‘’Always Want More’’ is the follow up to March 2020’s fiery ‘’My Only’’- a song that gained some good traction in the UK. Let’s see how the band develops and they must be hungry to be on stage again, let it rip and show everyone what they are made out of.

Jack West releases his EP Live at Easy Street: Showing just how good live music can be

American-based musician Jack West has released his six-track anthology titled ‘Live at Easy Street’ and for those of you who love a bit of old school alternative rock then this one’s for you.

Jack has created an EP that is filled with such a lively atmosphere, his own twist on the alternative rock sound, whilst also throwing in some covers from the likes of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Audioslave and he for sure does it justice.

Throughout you can hear this high energy that bounces of each song and you can really feel the personality pulsing through the music when Jack performs, the fact that it’s live and you can hear the cheer of the audience, it just creates this whole new atmosphere, sharing the connection and the way the crowd reacts, whilst having that stripped back sound.

The instrumentation is incredible, electrifying guitar riffs, heavy hitting drum beats whilst having this western style intertwined, combining such popular genres of music and creating it in his own way.

Jack has such an amazing vocal range and the skills that he has to create something as catchy and entertaining as what he has done is impressive, there is never a dull moment with this EP and you feel like you’re right in the room when you listen.

Dream-Rap? Is That Even A Thing?

Even with the amount of new music being made every day, with sheer weight of collective imaginations, the genre splicing experiments, the fusing and fusion of styles Garrison Carver seems to be on to something new here. Yes, there is a trippy trap beat, a cool R&B vibe and a rap delivery but that is then cocooned in something totally unexpected. Around these more expected elements he wraps a dream-pop haze, chilled psychedelia and electronic washes.

It’s confusing, but experience tells us that is a good thing, expectations are made to be subverted, rules are made to be broken and new musical horizons are their to be explored and DD does all of those things and more. Blissed out hip-hop? Ethereal R&B? Dream-rap? Are those even a thing? The fact that you have to invent whole new genres to put the music in is an indication of just how original this music is and how singular and lateral Garrison Carver’s thinking is.
