Trap Meets Alt Rock in Hazy’s Melodically Entrancing Indie Hip Hop Track “Thousand Suns”

Usually, you need to choose between atmospheric mesmerism and melodic entrancement when it comes to Indie Hip Hop, but with up and coming artist Hazy’s latest release “Thousand Suns”, you’re treated to both in equal measure.

The Alt Hip Hop track sweeps across an emotional smorgasbord in Thousand Suns which starts as a slow meandering entry into the captivating hit which unravels through the perfect blend of Trap, Pop and Alt Rock. If you thought that Linkin Park’s contribution to Hip Hop was evocative, you may need to strap yourselves in for an emotional bruising. The sincerity stings and the lyrics are practically meta poetry.

Sinner-X provides your 420 fix with “Ohhh Maryjane”

Sinner-X has released the ultimate stoner anthem with their latest single “Ohhh Maryjane”. The Indie Hip Hop hit is a rhythmically sweet reminder to find gratitude for the substance which possesses the propensity to strip away pain and replace it with tranquillity.

The absorbing acoustic guitar notes weave around the Trap beats to create stunning melodies which Sinner-X lays his harmonically amorous crooning vocals upon. It’s officially the sincerest love song I’ve heard in 2020 so far. Fans of Post Malone and Yelawolf will undoubtedly want to make it a staple of their vibe-out playlists.

Sweet Roddy – ‘Snakes’: Chilled, Laid Back Hip Hop.

‘Snakes’ starts with a delicious little solo keyboard part, before Sweet Roddy’s vocal kicks in in a wash of East Coast auto-tune, the ‘snakes’ refrain separate from the verse, and defined by it. The lyrics tell of a cheating girlfriend. It’s an age-old tale; boy meets girl, girl hooks up with another guy for ice-cold drinks in the club, girl sends other guy photos…you know the story.

Musically, it’s pretty chilled, laid-back trap; instrumentally, there’s a Yelawolf vibe, maybe a little Post Malone, the main vocal front and centre, the chorus more sing-song and lyrical. It’s poppy, pretty of-the-moment, kind of melancholy and posturing all at once. Isn’t that an age old story, too?

Check out Sweet Roddy here.

Sad Boy Hour shows his independence with ”Seeya!”

There comes a time when you just want to be left alone and be single. You are tired of being pushed around and want to do your own thing. You are in a rebellious frame of mind and nothing is going to change it. Are you willing to push your lover away for good or will they find a way to get through to you?

Sad Boy Hour is a brand new rapper-producer who has only started releasing music this year. For such a young artist he is very raw and it will be scary to see how good he is in a few years with more experience. The UK producer is in a crowded field and with so many quality artists he must be very inspired.

Seeya!” could be the runaway anthem of 2020. This is a song that means a lot to Sad Boy Hour. He believes that he is going to make it and feels it deep down in his soul. He wants it bad. This type of attitude is the only way to go in the music business. I like the beat and this man can sing and rap. With a Post Malone influence we need to pay attention to Sad Boy Hour. Happier times await.

Arizona Rap Rocker luvluxx drops reflective Lipstick Stains ft. Undead Papi

I’ve been gone since the first time I saw you/ leave me here, lipstick stains on my tattoos. With this catchy part as the core of the song, I find myself totally intrigued and liking this song more and more. The Post Malone sound is here, the words flow into your soul then and there.

‘’Lipstick Stains’’ is the follow up to the sad ‘’R I P’’ ft. Aero & Subsad and produced by After Sphere. A worrying trend of a mental health warning for all to see. I really hope all these artists can get through the worrying battles they are facing with drugs, drinking and being in pain.

There is a lot to like about ‘’luvluxx’’ and let’s hope he gets the help that he needs as there is a lot of talent here. Life can get crazy but there are people out here that care.

Musically, I have a feeling that this rapper is going to achieve big things and just needs that breakout track. ‘’Lipstick Stains’’ could be the start of something special.

https://soundcloud.com/skylarbennett/lately/s-q1SLyB1xGrJ

Skylar Bennett has dropped his single ‘Lately’ this Pop track has this happy and uplifting feeling about it, with its super energetic vocals and infectious melodies.

Starting off with this soft instrumentation that collides in the background, always making sure that it’s upbeat and lively throughout as the beat does tend to get louder and a bit more crazy.

This song is powerful and as you listen, you instantly feel good and it’s one that boosts your mood within a few seconds because it has this high energy and fun way about it and that’s why it’s such an amazing piece of music.

Skylar has some incredible vocal ranges, keeping that same soft texture as the overall sound has and having the rather modulated melodic vocal that really makes this song stand out. The way in which the instrumental flows in an out of the unique vocals is perfect.
