Christian Schormann – The Ballad of Captain T: A Warmly Resolving Attack of Satire

Lockdown has inspired artists in many ways. Christian Schormann created the perfect Pop track after witnessing the lack of leadership in the US during the pandemic. Sounds dreary right? Wrong.

In The Ballad of Captain T, disdainfully playful rage pours over the warmly resolving instrumentals which ooze soul-soothing choral appeal. Tracks such as The Ballad of Captain T can all too easily fall into the novelty category, yet, there’s enough nuance and prowess for it to easily diverge away from that pigeonhole. There’s a sincerity within the single, a sensitive understanding that the problems which the lack of leadership has caused have had a detrimental impact on peoples lives, and deaths.

In short, you couldn’t ask for a more perfect Pop single. The unexpected guitar solo was the aural cherry on the cake.

Kees leads us Into the Darkness with her latest high-vibe culture-merging Alt Pop hit

Award-winning Singer-Songwriter, Dancer and Instrumentalist Kees left a mesmeric Alt-Pop earworm on the airwaves in the form of her latest single Into the Darkness which dropped on September 18th.

The tonally-rich grooving EDM Pop hit incorporates rhythmically arrestive Eastern Roots in the polished instrumental arrangement, finding perfect synergy with the resounding vocals which teasingly and playfully breeze through a dynamic vocal range.

Into the Darkness truly breaks the monocultural mould by simultaneously celebrating Kees’ Armenian heritage and the influence of her Western upbringing. There’s a slightly abrupt and ingenious end to Into the Darkness which leaves you insatiable to soak up more of Kees’ mesmeric sound. We’ll definitely be keeping our ear to the ground to hear what she comes up with next.

Into the Darkness is available to stream via YouTube.

Amber Lee reflects our melancholy back at us with “Doubt”

“Doubt” is the recently released compellingly resonant Pop single from up and coming singer-songwriter Amber Lee which perfectly captures the collective mood felt over recent months.

Saying that it is hard to see past doubt may be hard. Easing into this strikingly evocative single and finding a connection definitely isn’t.

Amber Lee’s modern and stylistic take on Neo-Classic Pop complete with sonic synth lines drips with contemporary appeal. If any voice can lead this generation of Pop artist’s, it comes from Amber Lee’s larynx.

You can check out the official video to Doubt which dropped on August 15th for yourselves by heading over to YouTube.
