Old and Grey: Marsh Family are rather special on My Storybook

After their hugely unforgettable last feature from December 2022 called In the Bleak, Marsh Family mark a 2022 golden wedding anniversary in the most joyous way conceivable on My Storybook.

Marsh Family is a much-loved Kent, UK-based indie pop family band who ascended to worldwide stardom in 2020 with their inspiring pandemic parody songs.

A piece of musical sunshine that celebrates companionship, shared memories, and the simple things that keep us all grounded.” ~ Marsh Family

After raising £8,000 for Save the Children and showing us their true devotion to the local community, The Marsh Family shall change all sour milk into only freshness with a quite lovely new single. They perform with so much fondness and care which is rather heart-healing in this cold world.

My Storybook from Kent, UK-based indie pop family band Marsh Family is such a likeable picture book for a special time. Reminding us of the importance of taking time to cherish those vivid recollections, this is a song to turn up rather loud. The quality is easy to hear and the connection genuine, to wash all apprehensions away rather quickly.

Things I’m Told: London’s djamesk13 knows that things aren’t the same as before on ‘This Is The End’

With the entrance bolted shut and the freezing cold wind surging all over his frosty body, djamesk13 wonders what happened to the partner he fell in love with all those years ago on ‘This Is The End‘.

djamesk13 aka David Kemp is a London, UK-based bassist and indie-rock singer-songwriter, who has been so invigorated to make music during these pandemic-fueled times.

I`m just making, creating music when I can, started late last year during Lockdown, just trying to improve, got loads of ideas.” ~ djamesk13

djamesk13 displays his sharp mind and growing inspiration to keep busy intellectually during these depressing times with a sturdy effort filled with much-promise and smartly-pencilled lyrics. He drops a relevant single about a memory of that person who swept you off your feet, who has gone cold like a winters morning in the depths of a Siberian winter.

This Is The End‘ from the London, UK-based indie-rock solo artist and bassist djamesk13, is that sad story about when the passion ends and the door slams behind you forever. The love was so strong for a long time but now but the taste has started to go off like mouldy bread and you know it’s time to toast the good times and move on. Performed with a raw edge that shows a man exploring his sound to get it just right, this is a top effort that has you feeling in a romantically reflective mood.

Heavy and hard: Cape Town’s Stranger of Earth scorch all doubt away on ‘Pandemic’

Stranger of Earth are back with their signature electric energy force fields that have blessed our tired souls on the hard-hitting new single ‘Pandemic‘.

Four-piece Cape Town, South Africa progressive hard rockers Stranger of Earth are a band that you hear once in your life and never ever forget. Their have a spectacular style that smashes through the fragile speakers and will thud a big dent in your bedroom walls; to certainly wake up your startled neighbors.

This is about these dark and gloomy times and how the current world is in a huge mess. Our sins have been found out and this is the liberation time when we recreate, reboot and reinvent ourselves. Some of us might of forgotten our names and what our purpose is but with these strong vocals, groovy electric bass-lines and thunderous drum melodies, your mindset will be clearer and without restrictive cobwebs.

They are a must-see when gigs open up again in the locked-down band scene in Cape Town where so many venues have been unfortunately biting the dust, due to this horrific time in the world. Whilst new bars and venues will emerge and pop up again, the motivated band have been hard at work, evolving their sound and becoming tighter as a well-oiled unit.

Stranger of Earth are so hungry and passionate on ‘Pandemic‘ and shows that their clear approach to hooks and tones is working, as they have a pure sound that gets you motivated to get up and grab that blood flow pulsating through your veins.

We live in wild times but its all made a bit easier to handle by a South African band who have a powerful sound that is world class.

A Part A Party slams down the door with stomping debut ”Stummy”

https://soundcloud.com/user-298547506/stummy

Stummy” is the brand new track from A Part A Party. He craves the love of a good woman and this pandemic hasn’t helped matters. He loves getting rubbed on his tummy and thinks out aloud about what his next move is. He is trying to keep things together and pulls in with this baseline that is so catchy. The goal of making money is vital right now and he knows the rest will come when the time is right.

The inspiration has been building for some time and you can feel the energy that has been tied up. Lock down has inspired you to put out music and you cruise through the front door. The beat is drum & bass influenced plus there is a trap Hip Hop flow to this.

There are a few genres at play here and I love the variety. The drum fused bass beat keeps you intrigued and the bars absolutely shred through the dazzled speakers.

There is so much potential here from this debut track from A Part A Party. The violin echoes through like an announcement. This new artist is here with a bang and will shine through.
