Pulse Park rock the airwaves with the awesome ‘Apollonian Heart’

Pulse Park by Pulse Park

Psychoacoustic Noise-Pop band Pulse Park rock in with this fantastic new single called ‘Apollonian Heart‘.

The four men first met some time ago on an arctic expedition in Qikiqtaaluk/Canada and started learning their instruments during the long polar nights. These were ukuleles that they had traded dry fruits for at the Inuit. After introducing a breeding program for bowhead whales the band decided to sing about this experience. Songs about the cold, the dark, cod-liver oil and dinky arctic hares.

With an enthusiastic start, the scene is set on what is to come here from this fab band. The vocals are a bit hard to hear at first but perhaps that is the point here. The band want you to listen closely, take the sound in and feel the vibrations. I like how the bass line roars like a hungry lion cub, bursting for an adventure and probably food too.

Pulse Park warn us about daily consumption here and how its damaging the world. This is a fine song from this excellent band who’s music is easy to get lost in.

Mortimer Jackson is quite brilliant on ‘Ghosts’

After receiving airplay from Radio legend Steve Lamacq on his 6music Recommends show, Mortimer Jackson returns with his new single ‘Ghosts‘.

Jackson was born in Camden in vibrant London. He was and raised listening to Bob Dylan & Chuck Berry in the foothills of Glastonbury.  After Uni, Jackson moved to Fremantle, Western Australia, where he wrote material for his next project. Inspired by Merseybeat, he returned to London and assembled a new band. The creative juices are always flowing with this quality song that that is off the top shelf.

Since the birth of his son, Jackson has decided to go solo, honing the sounds and influences he has acquired over the years. In addition to the approval of Steve Lamacq, his first few tracks have also earned recognition and support from New Noise Magazine and BBC Radio Wales. With the respect of the industry, this is a top class artist who seems to be getting better and better.

Mortimer Jackson is a fantastic musician, with years of experience in the music game. He plays with authority on ‘Ghosts‘, the veteran sings with gusto and this is such a quality track with excellent production.

Alvin Willis swoons on love-torn ‘Do Over’ featuring Larry Gordon

Vocalist Alvin Willis swoons on love-torn ‘Do Over’, his latest new single.

After writing 200 songs from 7th to 11th grade, this creative wordsmith decided on 12 of the best songs in his eyes. After deciding to save up and record these songs after High School, he had to hide some of his songs from his Mom. She only wanted her song singing gospel and Alvin was more in the R&B genre.

After working with about 5 bands in his hometown of Knoxville, Alvin decided to go solo and this has proved to work well. The young artist is so creative and wanted to fully express himself and not be restricted.

Do Over’ from Alvin Willis is a song about wishing that you could do over the relationship. This is what you want but you know what you need to do. Move on and heal up. This is all we can do in life sometimes,

Beautifully created Alt Indie with Flat Feet’s ‘Renegades’

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSdUERWMY9U

This is Alt Indie at it’s finest with Flat Feet’s terrific new single called ‘Renegades‘.

Flat Feet’sRenegades‘ is a wonderfully made song that echoes through the world’s barriers and worries.

With the sultry vocals of the wonderful Dayana and Max on drums, this is a true team effort. They team up to create a song with a catchy hook, the beat is low, the drums tap in with style and this is all-round goodness with a fish in the jar.

I get lost in the vocals so much on ‘Renegades‘. The Flat Feet team impresses on this fine track that gets you in the mood to go on a road-trip or go for a run. The beat is fantastic and I like everything about this. This is a group that just make quality music to make us smile.
