Taking a brief reprieve from composing for video games and media, the singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalist J. Jeaux released his debut single, More Than Enough, in June 2022.
Exhibiting his world-building melodies, sweetened R&B vocal lines and songwriting tenacity, More Than Enough rewrites the R&B rules through the warm analogue atmosphere & cuttingly contemporary resonance.
Few breaking artists excel in bringing RnB into this era without assimilation, but the Mexico City-based artist is so much more than your average Frank Ocean carbon copy with his blissful command over rhythm. Even with the tinges of sorrowful sentimentality, More Than Enough is a touch of serenity in our chaos-encompassing times.
More Than Enough is now available to stream on Spotify.
Taken off his much-awaited upcoming EP, Chris Koehn shows that wonderfully genuine compassion which is missing from the mainstream on his latest single to win over your heart, ‘Sympatheia‘.
Chris Koehn is a Mexico City, Mexico-based indie shoegaze singer-songwriter, music producer and architect who is on a mission to help others live their life in a way that is free from materialism.
“The freer from our attachments we are, the happier our life will be.” ~ Chris Koehn
Bringing us a real reminder to be truly kind to yourself as the soul you have inside you is asking for your understanding, Chris Koehn sends us a true love letter that should be heard far and wide, rather than being harsh and evil to your consciousness that wants a warm embrace.
”After experiencing his brother`s death, Chris Koehn architect & singer/songwriter/ producer entered a musical journey as an introspective grieving process. Seeing the healing power its music had over him and others, he started to share and work on his music to help other people feel & heal together.” ~ Chris Koehn
‘Sympatheia‘ from Mexico City, Mexico-based indie shoegaze singer-songwriter, music producer and architect Chris Koehn is a calming blend of mellow sounds that shows us that being kind to yourself is the key to life, rather than worrying about things that don’t actually matter. Sung with true control and a mellow style, this is a tranquil song that should get you in a meditative state, that is far away from those silly stresses that can dampen your mood into a coldness that is so unnecessary.

After branching out from being the gorilla glue of the Manchester music scene, Golden Believers Records International couldn’t have chosen a better inaugural outfit to advocate on our Brexit-blighted shores than the Mexican ‘psyspyinstrosurf’ originators, Secret Agent.
Their latest mostly instrumental EP, Moros En La Costa, is the kind of cinematically immersive feat of authenticity the average CD-buyer laments about not existing anymore. The conceptual album focuses on the espionage practices used from the cold war to the present day. While that sounds like a serotonin sucker, there’s nothing but escapist reverie here.
With no lyrics to get in the way in the majority of the tracks, you’re left with enough space to metaphysically make yourself the main protagonist in the Spy-Spaghetti Western while the warm shimmering psych surf rock elements amplify the chill of the colder post-punk tones that are always lingering to bring the overarching sense of trepidation.
If Twin Peaks’ Agent Cooper found himself across the border, I’m fairly certain the title single would be reflective of his sonic-inner monologue. The sense of intrepid espionage heightens with track two, Man in the Middle, which picks up the pace, a fair amount of sun-bleached spacey intrigue, and an almost Whovian sense of aural alchemy.
Loaded Gun, featuring vocals from Daniel Gutiérrez, is the surfy, psychy equivalent to Charles Bukowski’s infamous “love is a dog from hell” proclamation. With the hooky lyric “I need a loaded gun because I’m falling in love”, the riotous track finds a succinct way of alluding to the snake pits we throw ourselves into in the name of affection, and our proclivity to do it anyway because there is nothing like that particular poison.
Following Loaded Gun, Stasi Romeois the calm after the visceral storm. Kompromatserves as the final standoff, and Moros En La Costa (Reprise) is the final psychedelic farewell with synths so phantasmal that they will probably need an exorcism when they next get serviced.
Honestly, I scarcely had an autonomous thought in the entire duration of the EP. And these days, accolades don’t get much better than that.
Formally known as Reyes and SoDC, Bonjour Madame charmingly slides the lights down real low on his sensually stimulating new single that has your mind alive on ‘Naked‘.
Adrian Reyes aka Bonjour Madame, is a respectful Mexico City-born, Madrid, Spain-based, French, English and Spanish-speaking indie pop singer-songwriter/music producer. He makes a rare blend of stylish music which has you feeling relaxed and highly motivated again.
You feel his wide smile brighten up the suddenly warm speakers as his love for her is so deep, you just know that he wants them to work no matter what it takes. This is the story of showing your cards and hoping that you get the royal flush, that you are ideally hoping for.
His vocals are tender and kind, with an honest tone which is straight forward but never sleazy. The romantic flow is fresh and rather breezy – full of life and and a cheeky grin attached for good measure – as he pours his simmering heart out into hers.
‘Naked‘ from the motivated Madrid-based multi-instrumentalist musician and student Bonjour Madame, is a lights-down-low track that is all about wanting to be with that person, who you have had a heart-filled crush on for so long. You know exactly what you want now and hope that this is the moment that you have desired all along.

Alt Rock band from Mexico City, ‘The Shelter’ make their entrance into the music scene with their first released song: ‘’Black Phillip’’.
They have some nice dummer skills on this one and the beat is fresh and downright awesome at times and I wish there were more solo’s. The song does sound familiar but I can’t quite put my finger on the band. I’m sure they will mix things up on the next song as they don’t want to sound like anyone else.
It’s a decent debut, solid, if not spectacular at the same time. A new band in the scene, they are making their name and we hope for some more tracks over time to show their growth as they learn more about each other musically.

Latina-American singer-songwriter Sofia Werner has taken the music world by storm and created such an amazing track, it’s one that deserves so much recognition. ‘’Leave Me Alone’’ is definitely one that is a hit in itself.
With only being 16 years of age, Sofia has taken her creativity and determination and turned it into something magical. There is so much she still has left to learn about the music industry, but with only being young, she stands out so much already and her new track proves just why.
It’s simple, not in a bad way, there’s nothing that’s too in your face and nothing too boring, it’s just right. Sofia’s vocal ranges are insane, she hits the high notes perfectly and she can transition between ranges fast but it still flows so well. Going from low-pitch vocals to a more acapella style.
There’s so much emotion and feeling that goes with Sofia’s vocals which makes it so much easier to listen to and connect with. Throughout this track you can hear the upset and anger in the voice and as well as the lyrical approach it gives off this poignant meaning of heartbreak, it’s done so beautifully.
Sofia Werner has proved just why we love Pop music so much and even though she’s only just started out and has lots of time to grow and learn, she definitely has our attention. We can’t wait to see what Sofia gets up to next!
